Dear all,

A question for ECA:

I have done Masters in Computers and My ECA has been completed, the report says:k

"Canadian Equivalency Summary

Bachelor's degree (three years) and master's degree"

I was looking for the Document Checklist for Master Degree points and it says "CIC only accepts as an entry-to practice professional degree, those degrees issued in relation to an occupation listed at NOC Skill level A and for which licensing by a provincial regulatory body is required."

I am confused what are the Point for my Master degree...? 23 or 22 or 21 or 19....!

Hi....it's either masters degree OR entry to practice degrees in the mentioned areas. If your Wes report evaluates your degree to be equivalent to masters (irrespective of area of study), you are eligible for 23 points. Hope this helps

Current update on CC/DD charging & PER
Latest CC Charged: 10 October (NOC 4011 as per SS also got PER)
Latest DD encashed: 16 October (NOC 4011 as per SS also got PER)
Latest PER: 16 October (NOC 4011 as per SS)

Its unbelievable that DD encash has surpassed CC charge. May be some CC charges are yet to update entry in SS.

I m a bit tensed bro. i m 10th sep applicant NOC 1123, DD mode. No news yet, whereas i read few days back that 16 sep applicant with same NOC got his DD encashed.
I inquired from my bank today but DD is pending.

Bro if my job duties does nt match with NOC or if there is any other problem with my application, how will i get to know?????
CIC will e-mail me or what???

hi...i urgently need help...please tell me for pcc in mumbai i shifted my house from kandivali to bandra...and the pcc i have recived includes date from 2010 to till date it dosent cover the period before that..
if anyone has knowledge about this...where did i go wrong or do i have to apply for pcc again for the before period i stayed in kadiwali.

Hi Aaliya,

There would be only one PCC for India....But only thing is it should not be older than last 3 months(not sure on duration)...once you apply for PCC through PSK, they will send police verification to the addresses you have stayed in last one year...So if you are at Bandra from last one year they will verify your address in Bandra otherwise at both the locations Bandra and Borivali...If these are the two locations you have stayed in last one year...Hope that clears your query....

Few minutes ago, i shared following analysis, i hope it partially answers ur query.

As we all know, CIC has already updated the CAP page and for the first time provided lil better insight into the status of apps.
In my personal opinion, it carries lot of good news for some of the applicants (whose CC has been charged but PER is pending), as full 1,000 PER for NON OF THE NOC HAS ACTUALLY been ISSUED. Here is the summary of previous discussion on the topic.

1. The CAP reached column or previous “apps received column”, is the count of applications deemed complete. It is JUST AN INDICATOR that NO NEED TO SEND MORE APPS in THIS CATEGORY.

2. “Number of Applications counted towards the 1,000 sub-cap” are the ones for which PER has been issued.

3. Pending Applications are the ones for which ELEIBILITY REVIEW has not been completed and PER is pending but CC has been charged. (I think mainly because resources are busy in other tasks). The comforting factor is that PER for good number of apps is pending i.e. you guys are not alone. The delay is due to procedural/resource constraints rather than problem in ur app as there cannot be so many apps with issues.

(My personal guess) If you guys remember, the NOC's with highest # of pending apps are the ones for which (previous count of ) CAP increased to 1,000 in a matter of few days, without corresponding increase in CC charging (as reported on the forum). Therefore, I think PENDING APPS may also include some apps for which CC has not been charged.

If an applicant is rejected at completeness, he gets his package back with the explanation letter.
If an applicant is rejected at MIAR stage, his file is retained and he gets NER
