A lot of IT companies here in India hire contractors on third party pay-roll for the projects which are likely to last for 3-4 years to avoid any further responsibility of placing the candidate with some other project on termination of the current project. But in this case, contractor should get the reference for the parent company, i.e. the company which credits the salary rather than the company where contractor is placed.
