congrats. I guess they have become a bit more cooperative now. I had called up 4 days back and even then the exec tried to check for status but said that there is no data by my name in the system. Yesterday again I tried and I got the details from the exec. Earlier they used to just say that they do not have access to the system and avoided even checking for Uci.

Good time to try getting the Uci perhaps.!!

Out of curiosity i just would like to know what happens to a file when the ECAS status is " We received your application for permanent residence on XX XX 2014"

1. Is the file still at CIC or has it been transferred to the Local VO
2. Have the local VO started work on the file
3. Is the file still awaiting its turn to be looked upon ( just like what happens when the file reaches CIC and awaits it turn for completeness check)

I am applying under NOC 2132 ; My CC was charged on 4th-Dec and as per the messages posted above, should i be expecting to receive PER email by end of Dec?
Also i have not submitted PCC along with my earlier documents. I have worked & stayed in Oman for about 4 years, now i am in Dubai living here since 2012. Do i need to send them PCC from Oman, UAE & my country of origin India as well? Does this apply from my wife as well?

hi joy, yeah probably u'r gonna get ur PER end of dec as it takes around 15-25 days apprx after being charged .

U have to submit pcc for u and ur wife or any accompanying family member who is above 18 , from all the countries u lived in for more than six months in a row since u were 18 . good luck !!!

That's all crap that canada post takes 2 month time to send documents to India.....Max time is 10-12 working days.I can bet with anyone for that.

Ok, let's bet. I live in Canada, and use CPC services at least once a week. Small packet air is delivered in ~30 calendar days to Eastern Europe. Surface mail (Snail) is two times as slow.

There are atleast 3 people I have talked to personally who received their package back after 50 days. Besides I have seen tens of applicants here who have told that it takes a long time. 10 - 12 working days is just not possible.

It all depend when cic sends these documents ....once the documents are dispatched from Canada it will reach in India in 10-12 working days....so if cic dispatch department is holding packages then it's a different case.
