Nobody knows this, although people are trying to estimate. I suggest you gather all the required documents and send a complete application as fast as possible, and keep an eye on the caps publicized by CIC (since I'm a new member, I'm not allowed to post links, but you may find this by googling "fswp completed applications").

They haven't updated yet, but I presume they will update the caps every week once they get things rolling.

Call your bank and ask for an increase in limit and explain the situation. If this doesn't work, pray that the exchange rate allows the transaction through and make sure you have no balance on the card that could interfere with it. Don't use it for anything starting immediately and if you have a balance on the card pay it off right now.

Alternatively, send a DD to CIC immediately. With an arrival of 14 May you probably have a little time, but don't delay. Nobody really knows whether additional items sent to CIC later will find their way to the rest of your application.

One thing we do know for sure, if the payment cannot be processed, the application WILL be returned. I hope yours works!

Buddy best solution is to put some cash into CC account.. It will work, put about 300 dollars into to ur cc acount, I bet it will be considered as additional limit.. But do inform and confirm with your bank.

I dont know if anyone noticed, CIC has updated the cap limit page.

Not the cap limit, but the caplimit page was modified today I mean the dates.

You can see last modified date of the page on bottom.

I think we can expect an update on cap limit anytime soon.

So just stay cool and wait for it.

Did you receive a UCI number with your returned application? If so you should put it on your new application.

Your question is a very interesting one. I don't know for sure but I can analyze the answer based on the wording. In my mind, you were not "refused" a visa, you were simply not allowed to apply for one. So I think the answer is no. However for the sake of completeness and honesty you might consider including an annexure explaining what happened before.

Pls note- There was no UCI number, I have only a letter from the CIC mentioning the reason for returning my file and also the file number is mentioned on the letter. The file was NOT refused but RETURNED as the applied category was not the eligible list.

I wanted to know as I am in Canada at present as a student but to apply for FSWP Program do I have to give the general IELTS and my Academic score is 6.5 overall.
One more thing is that the funds to be shown are to shown from my home country to file for FSWP from Canada.
Another thing was about the Police clearance what is to be done in my case like I have to get for my home country but what about the Canadian PCC thing.

Yes you must take the general IELTS and provide the original result.

You can show funds in any country as long as they are yours.

You need PCCs from anywhere you have spent more than 6 months since reaching the age of 18 (16 in some jurisdictions). You don't need one from Canada because they can check their own records. You don't need to supply PCCs with your application, you can provide them later when requested by your local VO.

To this I do not have an answer. But what I can assure you is that anyone will suggest 1 thing....just apply in positive approach nothing wrong in trying.

Would appreciate some opinion on this.

I am currently residing working in India .... I just started toying with the idea of immigrating to a different country couple of weeks back

Discovered FSW recently and am interested in it

My most probable NOC would be 1112

I realise that this is one of the NOCs that gets filled up very quickly

I have not done any ground work till now ... absolutely nothing

Latest IELTS available slot is 19th July

Is it even worth for me to start the process given the speed with which 1112 gets filled

The cap is significantly higher this year ... can this push back the latest application date till say September October for 1112 this year

Any opinion would be appreciated ... Thanks for your time

Might as well try. Get everything done quickly. Look for other nearby cities or even other countries where IELTS slots are available earlier.

1. If you have any statements such as bank statements, or even screen printouts of looking up the value of something like a house or car on the internet (for non-liquid assets) that should work. If they really want to know the exact value of your gold/home that is something the local VO will ask you. Since those non-liquid assets can't be used as settlement funds the exact value is less important. Anything you'd be using as settlement funds should be liquid and the exact value should be easy to determine.

2. For the generic form type your wife's name exactly as shown on her passport. If her name is different now and she hasn't changed or renewed her passport since then, explain the discrepancy in an annexure.

3. Can you tell us more about the error? For which dependant are you getting the error? What does the error message say?

3. The details of dependents kids is correct in the form and I'm selecting "Dependent Type A" from the drop down but the dependent field becomes RED that shows there is some error.

This page update is because the page text is changed , earlier it was showing 24 occupation even after the launch of new FSW2014!!
so that is the only change

My CC Has been charged today. My Consultant sent my application on May 1st. Probably it reached on May 2nd I think

Can you check with your consultant exactly when the delivery was? They should have a tracking number of some kind.

Even though the page at the bottom states "last modified date as 2014-05-27", the footnotes still give the wrong info i.e "The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate." Should that be May 1, 2014 instead of May 4, 2013??

1- Do we have to notarize the photocopies? A lot of people are saying no need to do so, but the guide on CIC website says that all copies need to be notarized by Notary public etc. So what is it that needs to be done?
2- People say it does not matter whether its "The Receiver General for Canada" or "Receiver General for Canada", will any of these work?

I had a question regarding the PR process which I could not find elsewhere.

Once the PR is approved, approximately how much time are we given before we can relocate to Canada? I was searching for this information so I have an idea how to plan my transition with my current employer, a global consulting firm with offices in Canada as well.

I know this is a step ahead. But I was being curious as I am relocating to a new country after all

Believe it's a year from the date of your medicals. Anyone confirm?
