Did anyone manage to have ECAS updated before actually receiving PER mail?

I have UCI from a previous tourist visa, I got charger on 26.11. and still nothing in ECAS. :-( I became like a crazy person checking it every hour as if thing can change so fast.

I have and it said 'received application on [x] aug' and then said started processing your application on [] dec and now it says ...decision made..looks like I am done so fast...*clean bowled*

Do you have any estimates about when 2171 out-of-cap application can be expected to be returned to applicant? Mine reached CIC in mid Oct and I understand that my application would not be in the cap. When can I expect to receive the application package?

Also, I applied through a representative. He said that they would get an email notification when the application was being sent back. Is this correct?

The application will be returned to your mailing address by snail mail, so it's dependent on your location when it wl reach. If it's Canadian address then it wl reach faster.
Cic will not send email in this case, they wl only reply if your representative has sent them an email. So your representative is not entirely correct, cic will though include an explanation letter in your returned package.

Probably within a month from now. They will attach a letter with the returned application and are unlikely to issue you an email, unless ofcource you raise a case specific inquiry.

First there should come the day when they start processing applications received on October then they will mail it to you by snail mail.
Just to have an idea last year my application was received on July 19th and I got it back due to cap reach on late November.
Not sure about your representative getting a email when sending your application back. If CIO don't send that email to an applicant why they will do that with a representative? Just a thought....
