Hi Guys,

Need Urgent inputs on the following Ministerial Instructions (No.13) issued on CIC website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/

Which is:

Ministerial Instructions 13 (MI13): Processing of new and existing applications for temporary residence and permanent residence

Ministerial Instructions have been issued in order to assist in the prevention of the transmission and spread of the Ebola outbreak.

Effective October 31, 2014, CIC will not process any new permanent resident or temporary resident applications and will stop processing existing temporary resident applications for which a final decision has not been made if the applicant has recently been in an Ebola-affected country.

For pending permanent resident applications, visas will not be issued unless the officer is satisfied the applicant has not been in an Ebola-affected country within the three months prior to finalization

Does this means people from Ebola effected countries will not be issued PR/Visa....Has anyone from West Africa (Nigeria, Senegal, Liberia, Guniea) has been denied PR/Visa based on this......

Need URGENT inputs as I have been in Senegal from last 3 months...

Same here! What got me worried is that a friend of mine got his MR from LVO in 3 weeks time after his PER and he's already sent in his passport too.

I got my PER on 7th October and second line update on 11 November and my VO is NDVO..still no news from cic..most of them go their MR...now what does this mean. .iam out of the game

Dear friends,

I need your advice. I have received PER on Nov 21-2014. My visa office is London. I have couple of queries:

1. I have resigned from my current job, and my last working day was Nov 15-2014. For the time being, I'm unemployed till I get another job. When do I need to inform LVO and how?

2. I have submitted my application with non-accompanying wife. My wife is pregnant and we are expecting our first baby in Mar-2015. Now, I have to decided to add my wife and new born as accompanying. However, my wife will only be able to give medicals after delivery. When do I inform LVO and how?

I would say, inform LVO in a about a week when your application would have reached them. Informing them of the pregnancy and intent to add both the spouse and the baby is particularly important since this would delay your medicals and visa until after the baby is born. The sooner you start this process, the better off you will be. You can contact LVO directly by writing them an email, or alternatively raise a case-specific-enquiry.

NO, it doesn't mean CIC will reject the applications. It means CIC will stop processing the applications and issuing visas (may be temporarily until EBOLA outbreak is gone).

Are you currently in Senegal? If so, then your application will fall under this category. If you are not there any more, then depending on how long it has been since you left Senegal, your application might not be affected (since the incubation period of Ebola is ~ 3 weeks).

I just saw an 8th August applicant got PER on 30/11 (Sunday), so does it mean CIC keep sending PER during weekend and holidays?

As per spreadsheet, latest PER is 8th August, where did you find 15th August PER?
Also, it seems PER is being sent on basis of application received not on NOC basis which we had observed for CC/DD charge...

NOC: 3012 (Registered Nurses and Psychiatric Nurses)
Application sent (via DHL): August 4, 2014
Application received by CIO OFFICE (by Dan): August 8, 2014
Payment Mode: Demand Draft
Encashed: November 15, 2014
PER received: November 30, 2014 (11:30 pm)
Visa Office: Manila

Lesson learned while waiting: Lift your worries to God, and He will put everything into place!!! Proven and tested...

Friends,

I read a lot that, CIC makes 3 attempts to charge CC.

Can you please tell, ithin how many days gap they make these attempts "CC charge"?

Reason being,
I have applied under two NOC's:

I am expecting PPR for for my First application.
"VO: CPC-O, PER: Sep 23rd, Status :3) Meds received, PPR: Expecting soon"

But, I am expecting CC charge by Nov 20th for my second applications.
I think I dont need to pay for second app, since my first app is reached PPR stage.
Planing to Block my CC, so that CIC cant charge.


Friends,
please suggest what shall I do Now?
1) Shall I keep the second app in processing as a safe game?
2) or Shall I go ahead and cancel my credit card?

Need your advise..Please...Please.....!

Did anyone request FBI Police certificate? Any estimates on processing times? According to CIC site it's 16-18 weeks

Yes, I am still in Senegal and seriously thinking of returning back after getting this news. Please note that as of today my DD has only been charged on 18th Nov and I have not recd. PER. If I return to India, I will be out of Job....

As written in the instructions "the applicant has not been in an Ebola-affected country within the three months prior to finalization". Do you think that if I return now, it will take 3 months to reach the finalization Stage????
