Hi all,

We relocated to Calgary and have since settled in. Been busy adjusting to life with a new 3 weeks old baby as wifey just delivered. For naija I be pro when it comes to driving as I don dey drive for years. In fact, my wife calls me a GPS. No place for Lag wey I no Know. But for Canada, I failed computer driving test like 3 times and road test like 4 times before finally passing and getting my class 5 drivers license LOL.
Canadians have really done well for themselves as they have put so much in place in terms of infrastructure to support their life style and economy. I really don't know how but so many things in the public sector of the society works. So for all those still waiting for one form of update or another, the place make sense sha, so just keep doing what you do and keep the faith. A billion thanks to Pipi's HB for creating this forum and still keeping in touch in spite of the demands of time in this new environment. Many thanks too to Neyobash for ensuring our correspondence easily gets to and from Accra VO. It will be good if we keep a forum for all those who just landed so we can further build on the progress we have made and also learn from landed seniors who arrive before us. I see a lot of collabo with the Chinese and Philipinos and wish we could have some strong association too for naija professionals. A billion thanks to you all for your support and all who responded to my questions. Thanks once again!!!! :) :)

Congrats Tenmen,
Welcome on board and thank God for the settling. Guess God is an Albertan :D. On your last point, I think Africans generally have failed on building a strong community. I have been in BC since 2 weeks and it's as if I am in Asia. Mostly dominated by Chinese. India also has a large community. Africans really need to wake up.

How is the winter stepping in, in Calgary? Will likely be in Calgary soon. Hope to see you then.

Congrats on your successful relocation and the new bundle of joy, may the land be fruitful for you and your entire family.
That your driving story was a good one The fact is, driving is not about being able to move a car from one point to another. By my personal estimates, about 98% of drivers in Nigeria don't know how to drive.
Nice one tho.

Guyz, we're all one family. I can understand the frustration, especially for those of us still in Nigeria. I believe you both mean well; but let's show one another respect as we help our brothers and sisters in this journey. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll all be smiling at the end. Please, let's allow cooler hands.

BTW, which of the two of you will foot the bill for the orijin to kool the house down?
Good talk Kuskus. I also understand what we are all going through, waiting for one update or the other. However I have also learnt from membership of this wonderful family forum that every member has shown his or her concern for our collective good and advancement. Please lets remember this bond and continue to uplift our family. One thing is certain, it must end in praise for all of us. Thank you all.
