@kClass1 bro I work in a financial institution and I can tell that the dollar issue is a serious one..like very serious. Anyways the only to get at official rate is to buy PTA, but there is a catch....Each person is entitled to around 4000 dollars per quarter, so everyone that has gotten PPR request, should buy their tickets asap (having a travel ticket is one of the major requirements for PTA) and buy some before March ending. Then again buy some more in the second quarter which starts April 1st. This is what I have tried to do and It has worked so far, for married folks, they can adopt the same strategy for each person. Now not all the banks are selling PTA from what I have gathered, but I am certain that Zenith (rationed at 2,500 instead of 4000 per quarter), Diamond, Stan Chart, Citi and Stanbic are selling PTA. Some banks will tell you they do not have dollar, please ask if they have the Euro and just buy, this can be changed to US CAD in any of the European countries (France, Germany, UK, Holland, even Turkey) when waiting for the connecting flights. that is my 2 cents

Good morning,house.We bless GOD for the positive updates that has been flowing in this house.A colleague in the office just got PPR.I helped him apply through the EE Stream in OCT 19,2015.I am elated that GOD used me to bring joy to that family but at the same time i feel sad that i'm still waiting for PPR till now having applied on december 1,2014 under the old fsw.Think it is not fair that those of us in fsw2014 are been made to wait this long.Just having a rush of conflicting emotions within me,but i know that it will definitely end in praise for all of us in this house.I bless GOD for his mercies.

Appears you have demonstrated the information they require beyond all reasonable doubt. Raise a CSE to just let them know you are awaiting a status update, although I am certain they are already working on your file and will contact you very soon

Hi all, I am AN aUG 2014 APPLICANT. I received further
mail to proceed in July 2015 with my new PCC, POF,
Statement of account showing my salary payments from the
company I worked including the companies certificate of
registation with number and was also asked to provide
pictures of the exterior and interior.
I provided all the documents except for the statement of
account showing salary payments because at the time I
worked at the company, I was mainly paid in either cash/
Cheque but I was able to get a letter from the company
stating that I was mainly paid in Cash and Cheque.
I got another respose from CIC Accra saying my application
has been DECLINED because I failed to provide the
statement of account showing salary payment from the
company and I had a grace of 30 days to provide it via
email.
I then got a print out of the companies statement which
showed the months I was paid in Cheque and some months
transfers were done directly to my account while was away
on a project. The company wrote another letter backing the
statement of account. I also provided my account statement
showing the transfers made into my account while I was on
a project and salary deposits into my account as well as pay
slips. I also got a notary public to verify my documents and
write to the CO in charge. I wrote a mail expressing how
much interest I have in Immigrating to Canada and the so
much effort, time and finance I have put in making the
dream a reality. I also explained all the documents attached.
I emailed all the docs on the 28th of Sept. 2015, I got a
response email to post all the original documents. The mail
was delivered on the 15th of Oct 2015. Please any advice
on what I can do next, its going to be 5 months in 2 days.

Dear Guys,
So to God be the glory, we landing yesterday afternoon.
Departed Lagos with Klm with a transit in Amsterdam- flight time was about 6.3hours, 6hours transit in Amsterdam. Didn't seem long since we had to change our cash from euros to CAD( we applied for PTA at the bank but dollars failed due to demand so we went for Euros @227), had food and even went into town since we had a Schengen..
Flight to Calgary was a good 9hrs phew was a long one really..
We were given declaration forms prior to landing - we filled only one as a family and declared the money and goods to arrive on sheet.

Border police was very fast and direct us to the Immigration officers for landing formalities.. It took 3hours because of the amount of people landing from various programs and countries.
Interview process varied from person to person. The 2 guys ahead of us, one was denied entry due to unsatisfactory answer, the other due to the POF..
Once we got to the officer- he asked us some very basic questions, POF but only asked how much and didn't request to see it.
We had the B4 filled for our good we brought by air but he told us it was not needed that B4 was only for goods shipped separately which arrived earlier and to follow which will arrive later.. So it was a waste for us..
After that he stamped us attached our COPR to the passport told us it will 6-8 weeks to get the card.
welcome to Canada!
Today we are heading for the SIN, insurance, bank account and mobile phone then the hard part will come with searching for a job and apartment..
