Hello friends, the house is cold today. Any good news yet?

A friend of mine that is yet to do medical submitted her original documents when she was asked for further documents 7 months ago and up until now, nothing has happened.

Please how does she collect her documents as she said she needs them for her interview.

Urgent response would be appreciated.

please are there still people in the house that have passed the MR stage yet to get to PPR stage? We want to know if this is the week of MR.

Want to believe AVO is working on the ones they requested recently. Once they are done they will request for more. But I would think this time it may be in trickles since there hands will remain full until they are done.

There are people on this forum and outside the forum that are still expecting PPR.

Keep the faith. Your good news is on the way.

I am going to Toronto for 2 weeks to complete my landing formalities. I have no plans of moving to Canada for good yet. So I don't want to take the full amount required as proof of funds.
We're a family of 3 and I am thinking of taking 5k CAD$ with me and take my bank statement (indian bank) for proof of rest of the money.

Will this suffice? I am leaving in a couple of days so a quick response will be really helpful.

Please guys I need urgent advise regarding this above issue.
Thanks Seniors and fellow applicants...

Yes o, I am still waiting for my PPR, praying it comes soon

You'll be fine provided you get your endorsed/stamped bank statement showing the balance of your POF.

Check the spreadsheet using the link below. Also include your own details in the spreadsheet so that others can gain from the statistics we have gathered, cheers.

Pick up mail came in this evening.... Glory be to God. Passport requested on the 25th of February and sent on the 1st of March.

Pls as an expectant Ppr applicant, I want recently landed or experienced seniors to advise me on the safest way of carrying proof of funds at point of entry?
1. I heard that bank statements from Nigerian banks are not tenable as pof at point of entry. Is this true or not? At the moment my bank ( GTBank) does not issue travelers check.
2. Is it safe to carry cash especially dollars?
3. Will there be serious challenges or roadblocks especially with our nosy customs officers and immigration officers?
4. Do a couple need to declare (here or in canada)the amount that is being carried even if it's more than 10000usd but is being split between the couple.
I would be glad if anyone can dissect each of these questions as it's causing me a lot of headache of late
Thanks

AVO abeg nah......... :(
