Good morning all and thanks for the congrats.
Part of the PPR requirement is an updated family information on form IMM8. I have tried severally on CIC site to see the form but the closest i got is IMM0008-Generic Application form. Please is it the same with IMM8? More so even the IMM0008 doesn't open can somebody help if its the required form to download and send pls.
Thanks
it is the same form, just download it on your laptop not phone. But if your family composition did not change you can just write a cover note that there is no change in family composition.

Thanks All. We do as advised.

Good day All...Updates will continue to flow by His Grace. I have got some questions to ask the house;

1. As Nigerians, do we need to have a transit visa when flying to through Amsterdam with KLM?
2. Are we required to fill/carry the ETA ( Electronic Travel Authorisation)?

Thanks

I need assistance on how to go about the whole Express Entry process. I am a new member and just want to start the process, though I and my wife have done the IELTS test. Any update will be appreciated.

Hello @Mr Pels, you wil need to create an Express Entry Profile and get your educational credentials evaluated by one of the approved Canadian Credential Evaluation Organisations. You will need to follow the tread on Express Entry, that is where you will get load of information that will assist you. maybe some seniors in the house can help provide more information.

Papis Husband, oya over to you. I be small boy for this thing oo.......a learner for that matter!!

You did a fine job, thanks so much for the info provided :) It is a good place to start and @Mr Pels can access this link for further details about EE, http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

My EE colleague was nearly turned back by the immigration today because of POF, he had money market investment certificate of more than twice the required POF as evidence but it was rejected; the officer insisted that it must be cash in his bank account.

He eventually did his landing after much explanation/pleading.

Please let us have evidence of our POF ready at landing.........

God will surely win.

Happy weekend all.

you do not need any transit visa as long as you remain at the airport

Hagnes, under normal circumstances, transit visas are only required for any country if you plan on leaving the airport into the city. So long as you're connecting another flight within thesame airport, I don't see a problem there. Lufthansa to London does a connecting flight from Frankfurt without any issues, same as Airfrance through Paris to London. You are simply connecting your flight to your final destination through the airport and do not plan on entering into the city. However when booking your flight, ensure the connecting leg is from thesame airport your first leg landed, otherwise you will definitely need a transit visa if you have to change to a different airport as that will require you going into Amsterdam city. I once had a connecting flight through Dusseldorf in Germany to the UK and had to re-route my ticket at the last minute as I was told I will need a transit visa to leave Frankfurt into Dusseldorf for my connecting flight. Offcourse that mistake caused me additional expenses.

i am only sure of US. if you are connecting any flight from US you need a US visa even if you are not leaving the airport

Does this mean we get a statement of account from our Nigerian bank. Will canadian immigration accept this. If not please seniors what will they accept?
