You can either carry your POF in cash or have your bank statement authorised by your bank handy. However, it is advisable to hold some cash as well. You don't need to source for Canadian dollars. With USD, you will be fine. Seniors please add your opinions

Hi, most of us came with our POF intact and in entirely in cash (US dollars) but you can carry some as cash and the rest in foreign draft or travellers cheques. Some also left some funds in their Nigerian account and accessed the funds here through their debit cards at the ATM or POS. However, this may not be wise anymore with the recent somersaults CBN is going through on the naira.
