While i was busy doing my work @ work (lol) MR mail dropped for me and my babe this afternoon.

Timeline:
Application: November 26
DD: January 21
PER: February 14
Added my babe: April 25
POF update requested: September 9
Updated POF delivered: September 15
MR: September 21

Congrats Dear.

omolara.ayanda i didn't book any appointment with Qlife, i got there before 7am and wrote my name down with the security personnel at the gate. That list was actually what was used in calling applicants to carry out the test. I concluded my test before others that booked, so if you enjoy beating protocol and can make it there before 7am, then be sure you'll be attended to.

Yes, Qlife opens for business on public holidays but Canadian medicals is what i am not sure about. Kindly call them to confirm.

Congrats on your MR.

You can pm me I will give you the lady's Contact. Their medicals is from Tuesday to Friday.
You need the MR form and copy of your valid passport (photocopy), and the original.

I will advise you to pay in cash and not the POS, I'm sure you don't want to go through what I went through when my card was declined, yet got debited.

No much people, but you need to get there early, each adult is 30k as at d time I did mine.

Congrats again!
Thanks a million bro/Sis

Here are my 2 cents

1. There is only one medical center for MR in Abuja and that is ABUJA CLINICS
2. Yes you will have to book ahead, the tests are conducted on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and we found a queue on our test day.
3. If you go early you will get tested and attended to on time, ours lasted from 8.am to 11.am (3hrs, for a family of 4 and we were the first on that day)
4. Yes if you request for your results a print out will be given to you, of cause it does not change anything. A week after the test, I requested for copies and got it.
5. It costs 48k per adult and anything less than that for each dependant child, it is less because children do not under go some tests adults do.

Hope my responses will give you a clearer insight.

Thank you very very much Mabertia!!! This one is way much more than mere 2cents...lol. Really appreciate.

You still have enough Nigerian blood in you. You should start practicing to be a Canadian. Book for your appointments in advance, that's the instruction, and u should follow it.

We really have some comedians in this forum
@guyman I laughed at the "Nigerian Blood" hehehehe.

Congrats to all with positive updates

Please send, there is no cause for alarm...your SIN is the major personal property never to give out to anybody...so you are safe.

Many thanks Gentleiphy.

Congratulations adaghogho and Patrioticanada and all others

@ Guyman: no updates yet for me. But the day hasn't ended yet. May we wake up tomorrow with 'Medical results received" updates on ECAS for us who have done medicals.

@ Blacky and others who had to send more docs, God will surely speak in your favour and cause MRs to be released soon.

This waiting can cook stone to become as soft as baked beans sha o!

As in! I have started taking a mental chill pill o.

Congrats to everyone with Positive updates and for those of us still awaiting result...it must also end in praise for ALL of us.

Abeg i get a few questions:

1. which is the best medical center for medicals (MR) in Abuja? There is only one centre in Abuja Abuja Clinics on Amazon street Maitama
2. How is the process like? (as in do you need to book a space first..like a queue) Yes you need to call them and schedule an appointment first
3. How long does it take to complete the medical examination? (hours, days) depending on the time if day you get there and the number of people in your group, between 1.5-3 hrs
4. do you get a copy for yourself...in case you want? No you only get the payment receipt, which you will need to send to AVO as proof of having completed you medicals, you can as the doctor anyway if you are concerned.
5. How much does it cost? You pay a registration fee of N7,500 each for everyone in you family, then kids below 10 pay an extra N1,532 for urine test, above that it is about 39817 extra for the blood work (Lab) and x ray.

counting on your responses.

Cheers!
