Hello House,

I have one quick clarification. I got an email requesting to update proof of funds and also saying: Also send a copy of your bank statement for the last six months into which your salary was deposited by your previous employer.

Since my occupation is my former job that i left in 2014, does AVO want me to send my bank statement showing the salary i earned in my last 6months with my former employer in 2014.

Or i need to show my current last 6 months statements i.e March 2015 - sept 2015.

Anyone thats handled this please assist

Question wil be which previous employer re they referring to?
1) when u applied last year, did u hv previous employer or
2) u changed jobs after the application n informed AVO?

Did you notify AVO of your change of job? If yes, good for you but if no, you will need to explain more to show that you don't have a cockroach in your wardrobe.
If it is not more than 6months that you changed your job, you can include a cover note to state that you are still under training and that it was the reason for not notifying them yet.
All in all, provide a salary history for the last 6months for both your current job,the former and you'll be fine.
I wish you all the best in your PRV pursuit.

I think the instruction is quite clear. Did you notify them of quitting your job? Seems yes. And if yes, just print the last 6 months of your salary account. If u left the job nov 2014. Print from June 2014 to November 2014.

Here is my view. What will it cost you to send a one year that will cover your previous and your present job with a note.
Highlight the point of interest.

Waooo. Bonblu. I am excited about your landing story. You will find favor in your new Canadian abode and God will count all of us worthy.

My esteemed seniors, friends and fellow forumites. I just sat down and reflected. Has any Nigerian applicant been asked to conduct sputum test as medical furtherance? I seem to be the only Nigerian facing this challenge for my spouse. Nobody in this thread experienced it. If anyone had, I know they would have shared their experiences with me. I need a word from whoever knows anything about the sputum test ordeal. If you cannot share it openly please send me a PM and I will be comforted. Everyone seems to be mum about it. Please help me.

Best you send both. Your last 6 months with your previous employer, and the last few months with your new employer. Let AVO remove the one they don't want. Just add a covering letter.

Hello

I'm a junior in the house but here is what I know about Sputum test and I hope it helps.

Based on my profession, the only reason(s) why I think a client would be asked to do a sputum test is to rule out Tuberculosis or if there is a +ve history of TB.. and if positive, the client will be required to go through the standard treatment before visa issued.

Or if chest xray reveal signs of previous TB or pneumonia

If disease is still active ---> get treated --> get visa

Sputum test could take up to 4week.

Sputum test might even grow nothing and come out negative.

Worst case scenario TB could take up to 6 months to treat.

In the end, Visa go still land so dont worry ;D ;D ;D

Thank you fiso. for allaying the fear of Deebruv.

Dear Deebruv,

Do not be perturbed, cos what God will do, He will definitely do in our lives!

Cheers.
