I give God all the glory, honor and adoration. To my surprise, MR just rolled in for me and my wife. Thank you all for your encouragement and advice.
Following the MR, I need you guys to advise me on the following;
1. I reside in Qatar, and my wife recently joined me, is it advisable to do our medicals here in Qatar, or we will have to go to Naija? If we do it in Qatar, can it cause for questioning from AVO, more documentation request or delay?
If you indicated the fact that you reside in Qatar in your initial application, then you can do have your medicals there without stress. Otherwise, you have to inform AVO immediately and also of the fact that your wife has joined you there. You will also need to fill the travel form to reflect this ans send to them. I believe you can have the medicals there but paramount is the fact that you inform AVO as i outlined. If you have been there for more than 6 months, get a PCC from Dubai.
2. Do I need to book an appointment for the medicals
You will have to call your desired clinic to find this out. check the list of approved clinics for your location and contact them
3. My schedule is a little bit tight at work, so if I will have to go to naija, how long will I need to get the medicals done and confirm it has been forwarded to AVO to prevent coming back to naija for any other thing
If you don't want to inform AVO that you are in Dubai and prefer to travel down to Nigeria, you can get the medical done anytime you and but within the time line give to you by AVO. Most clinics transmit your results within 4 days electronically. You don't have to do anything in this regard
4. What are the possible documents (I hope not) that may be required by AVO so as to start working on it if I will eventually go to Naija
PCC and updated prrof of funds are the chief documents they may request.
5. Which Clinic is fast in processing documents
They are all good but popular consensus for choice is Q Life in Lagos
6. How much is the cost of the Medicals for me and my wife
Oga, your questions many o. Is this an interview? It averages 28k for adults
7. What other information can guide us at this stage
8. @ Tchnolee, Tbaba and all other resourceful seniors, what is it about the discussion of eating or not eating before going for medicals.
As with most medical procedures, it is advisable to go early in the morning and not eat before you do so. However, if you are on medication already and you are expected to keep up your strength, common sense dictates that you eat well. Just keep in mind that you will be giving fluid samples, blood and urine so be guided on what you drink. Guinness,Orijin and co, not allowed
Thank you all and it will definitely end in praise for us all.
Admin kindly assist me to update.
