Please I seek advice for a friend.

After his MR and POF update, he was contacted and AVO requested for Certificate of Registration of the company where he works and salary bank statement. The challenge here is that the owner of the company where he works have refused to give him a copy of the company's certificate.

Kindly advise on any other option(s) he has.

Very simple. Just tell him to send d update for pod and do his medical. He shld do a cover memo informing them that as a matter of policy the business owner is refusing to release the required document. He shld include in the cover letter the contact telephone no and email add of d Busines owner for verification. I did same when I applied for my application at first. My organisation does not give employer reference. What I did was a cover letter and email add of HR for verification.

If AVO ask for his company registration it means that they have doubt if the company exist or not. Since the employer refused to release his documents he should take a picture of the company with their signage in it, inside the office, any files on d table with company name on it. if the company has an online presence such as website, blog or classified listing please send do print it. Then include the owner's information such as direct email and contact phone nos in the cover letter. I hv seen pple with MR given a 5 year ban recently cos of misrepresentation and please he should order gcms notes.
