Hello Unibadan, it is better to stick with cash in your account and fixed deposit. CIC is in Ghana not Nigeria and I am sure they have more than enough work to start reading about how Nigeria Pension Act and CSCs works. Remember this is immigration and not visitor's visa that we obtain from UK and other embassies in Nigeria.

Abeg, let us err on the side of caution.

Ok Thanks.

Dear Unibadan, I am certain most people agree with your definitions.

However, if it happens that you get a pof update request, please stick to your bank statement n fixed deposit certificates. An adage from my place says 'an elder that falls into a ditch, teaches other people lessons. ' - direct transliteration.

If you would like to know what our beloved AVO recognises as POF when they request for POF update, kindly run a search on this thread and d naija 2013 thread.
You may also contact forum members that have had to provide same.

All the best.
Hello,
Please does it necessary to have the required amount as balance or just the total number of credit in a particular period
for example someone that run his account for 6 months and have 11 million naira as total amount of transactions in 5 months and submit his application with 2 million naira as balance. could it be acceptable by AVO
whereas the required amount by cic is 3.5 million naira for his family size

Please what's your take?

It is good to have a high turnover showing in your account statement. It goes to show you have good cash flow and are quite liquid, but no matter how high the turnover is, AVO needs to see that required amount as a balance. You need to have that amount set aside. Cheers.

Thanks to all for all the congratulatory messages, I'm truly honoured. I see you all, May God bless you and bless your processing with AVO. Godspeed!

T-Rap has summed it up. ...Regardless of the volume of your transactions, your balance must meet the funds requirement for your family size.

It is usually advised that for people with voluminous transactions, the minimum balance per time should not be less than the required POF.

I was just reading through this post and i would like to share my experience.

I used CSCS statement, Pension fund statement and bank certificate (not statement) as POF for my application and i got my PER. This is to say that CIC accepts CSCS statement and Pension fund statement as POF.

Thank you.

Bros, at CIC level your proof of funds is not really verified, they're only checking to see that you submitted all documents in the checklist and not all documents are verified at that point. It's the Visa Office that verifies your Funds and if you've been following this thread you'll notice the items they ask for do not cover all areas you touched.

Someone from 2013 FSW submitted only Pension Funds Statement (RSA) to CIC and got PER, but AVO asked for proof of funds even when the sum in the RSA was way larger than required amount.

Lastly, please do you have a web link to the Pencom Act where it talks about complete withdrawal on Relocation? See under for a link to what I read ... I couldn't find a part where Relocation was mentioned. I'm highly interested in packing my pension funds o!!

Preferred, you know every! Meanwhile my FFW is being beefed up! ;D

I received a mail from Accra on the 29th of April 2015 asking for an updated Schedule A for and updated proof of funds. I am a July 2nd Applicant. It means AVO has started work on July 2014 applicants. Just thought I update the house on what's going on.

@Codedguy31, thanks for sharing this info!

Hi all, and nice to be here.

I want to ask if Accra sends an AOR after receiving a PER.
If they do, what's the time estimate from the receipt of a PER to AOR
thanks.

please what's the POF update like. Are they gonna ask for certain months or what please
It depends. I submitted my application with documentation for 2 of my properties. When the request for updated POF came, I got rid of one of them and deposited some of the money in my account. I sent the statement with proof of sale of the property to AVO. Three months latter, they asked for additional docs, including bank statement for the last 3 months.

I would like to say thank you to all that contributed to the issue of POF. It is important for us to learn from experience and i believe this has thrown more lights to the AVO request when it comes to POF.

Thank you and God bless.

It will all end in praise!
