Dear Friends,

My MR Request dropped this afternoon. I just saw it when i got home now. CIC requested for right of permanent residence fee (RPRF), Police Clearance and medicals. I have been a quiet member of the forum. I want to say thank you to everyone for all the updates.

I am not too conversant with attaching timeline to my profile. I sent my application on the 5th of May 2014. It reached CIC on the 13th May 2014. I received debit alert notice on the 10th August 2013. PER on the 22nd August 2013. MR on the 27th Jan 2015. My name is on the spreadsheet. I filled it long ago.

Congratulations to all the MR reciepients-Pipis H, Teed618 and Donmaxman.

Congrats to all PER, CC and DD charged reciepients. God is faithful and would complete all.

Great week ahead. more are yet to come.

Congratulations to all who have received positive response from Accra: Pipishusband, Donmaxman and the rest The same God who has started with us will complete His work in our lives. He will not only take us to Canada, He will prosper us there.
I have a question: With this avalanche of responses, I am expectant of my MR soon, but my passport and my wife's will expire in September. What do we do? I do not want a situation where after having the passports stamped with visa, I will be starting a long process again.
Please help me what do I do?

Yes it should suffice because sending originals of such vital documents is risky. Also did you get birth certificate from National Population Commission as at the time of their birth?

No. I got it some years later.

Congratulations Donmaxman, wishing you speedy processing in the remaining stages. Obinja, yka10 and smilingme you guys are next them moi. ;D ;D ;D

My guess is that you did the National Population Commission birth registration many years after your kids were born ... probably the reason why AVO asked to see the hospital birth certificates. Maybe to check if you actually registered the same humans that were born by you. :D

Mz Johnson I hail o!

You are right. The registration was done many years after their birth.

You can send original copies. I got similar request from AVO and just like Toronto_Raptor posited, I got NPC birth cert for my kids shortly before submitting my application because the hospital birth cert. only had their mum's name. I sent their original hospital birth certificates, immunization cards and several photographs.

All the docs were returned to us in the same envelope we used to submit them when our passports were returned.

Thank you so much

You can actually renew your passports long before expiration. Immigration Service will stamp CANCELLED on all the unused pages of the old one thereby invalidating it ... one cannot have two LIVE passports. If you do this you should then update AVO using Case Specific Enquiry attaching data pages of both old and new passports. This will take off the pressure on you to travel before expiration of your passports assuming you get the visas soon. And AVO actually prefers passports which have at least 6 months validity.

you can only renew your passport exactly 6 Months to its expiration.Submit if requested b4 the 6months but if requested when u are into the 6months, apply for a new one then notify AVO reason for change and update accordingly.

God is faithful.
