I have a couple of questions to ask and I feel most people would have some experience to share. My husband is the main applicant with NOC 1212, which was delivered on the 23rd of December 2014. My husband has close to 10years of experience, we needed between 11- 13 marks to meet the passmark 67. He worked in virgin Nigeria which latter changed its name to air Nigeria , unfortunately air Nigeria has closed down since sept 2012 hence we couldn't get any reference from that company, but we attached a letter with our application stating why we couldn't get reference. Now he works in the bank, but the bank refused to give him any letter of reference because of policy issues. These two companies I have mentioned should give him the right marks we need, but with all these challenges of getting references we are a little worried if we would be awarded marks for his experience though he has other experiences which the companies gave him references but the marks won't take us anywhere except we add all his experiences together.
And the last question is that I've lived in 2 other countries which I don't have the police reports yet does this jeopardize our chances.
Though we sent proofs that he worked with all those companies, we attached his letter of employment, training certificates etc.

Hi,

With regards Virgin Nigeria, my colleague used to work there as well and he applied for FSWP. He simply sent a cover letter explaining the lack of reference letter from Virgin, bank statements showing payments from Virgin into his account, employment letter and payslips. He has now received his PER mail and is waiting impatiently for MR. You should be fine with points for Virgin Nigeria Experience.

Have a great day.

Yipee! ;D the emails have started rolling in. let it rain, let it rain, let it rain...

His job duties matching with the CIC NOC leading statement for the 1212 is very pertinent before point can be given in this regard. If your husband previous job duties are ok with the NOC 1212 leading statement, he will be awarded point on that. However, if he is claiming point on his curent banking experience, he needs Job Duties (JD) Discription from the bank he works for or a supervisory colleague to claim points on this with an evidence showing thathis current employer has refusdd to issue such. If there no JD on the job experience he intend claiming points on, am afraid, CIO might not consider that job experience.

Pls advise your husband to get a JD from his supervisor in this regard. He needs to get that done before completeness check starts on December applicants.

Best of luck.

Hi,

Are you saying he does not submit Job Discription letter from his employer or CIC accepted colleague as stated in the check list, yet he received PER?

Pls ask him very well on the status quo for proper he did for others guidance. People hardly say what exactly they did except we ask them very well.
