:) I've been made to understand that this also works though I need to point out that self attested affidavit have not always worked too well with CIO. Some they accept, others they reject.

Mine is not Self Attested o ... it was actually done by my Mother. In fact it is a standard format at the high court which states the parent as the deponent.

Ed_b_good, Thank you so much. Appreciate your prompt and valuable answer with regards to my question.

NOC 1111
Received on 1st Oct
CC was try today 5th of Dec ,but was decline due to insufficient fund.

The insufficient fund was as a result of increase in exchange rate.

My question is, will CIC try again? When ? CC has been funded but will reflect on Monday.

will appreciate your comment
Quickly add more money to your credit card as CIC will try 3 times

Thanks guys for your replies. @ pips husband, so is it best to do the affidavit or parental attestation? I believe an Affidavit by a court may be more genuine? Whats ur thought?

Dear wX5, below is a sample of what I'm referring to. The deponent is usually Mother or Father. Of course commissioner of oaths will sign and stamp accordingly with date.

IN THE MAGISTRATE COURT OF KANO STATE OF NIGERIA
IN THE KANO MAGISTERIAL DISTRICT
HOLDEN AT KANO

STATUTORY DECLARATION OF AGE

I, CATHERINE NYOREGE, a native of Egelu in Iyala Local Government Area of Cross River State, a Christian, a citizen of Federal Republic of Nigeria, do Hereby make an oath and state as follows:

1. That BENNETH UDO NYOREGE is my son.

2. That the said BENNETH UDO NYOREGE was born on the 10th day of December, 1984 at Ogoja, Cross River State.

3. His birth was not officially registered, hence this declaration.

4. That this affidavit is required for official and record purposes.

5. And that I make this solemn declaration in good faith and conscientiously believing same to be true and correct in accordance with Oaths of Act of 1990.

…..………………………………
DEPONENT

Sworn to at the Chief Magistrate’s Court Registry,
KANO this 20th day of September, 2002.

BEFORE ME

……………………………………………………………….
COMMISSIONER FOR OATHS

Dear all using credit card as payment option, please lets have enough money beyond what CIC will take because of exchange rate fluctuation. This is to avoid our application being rejected.

Don't despair, keep your cheer :) :) :) they'll surely try again, but do make sure that your a/c is properly funded, if possible by an extra 100k and do authorize your bank to accept the debit so that it does not fail again.

Please be clear, the person who deposes to an affidavit is the one attesting. This means your father or mother or uncle should be the one getting the affidavit/swearing to the affidavit on your behalf. That is what it means to 'attest' to the fact that the information in the affidavit are accurate and true.
So in effect, you can not 'swear' to your own affidavit in this case. It has been advised that any affidavit you are using for your FSW application, wether birth certificate or others should not be self attested. That's the candid advise from those who have gone ahead of us, cheers :)
