hi peeps, My 1kobo is use CAD bank draft, it is still your guaranteed and safest means. Please contact GTB, Plural house, Oyin Jolayemi, VI, I hear you need to open a GTB dorm account. CC is more risky, you have invested so much in your application than you lose out (God forbid!) over changing cc rules...

Thanks! I have been made to understand that GTBank USD Dom customers can now apply for CAD drafts via the bank's internet banking portal, as long as they have a sufficient USD balance.

Thanks a lot pipis husband and oscartan for the response. That is my dilemma, I believe they insist that the name filled in the application should be the same as on the passport.

You are correct, you should fill the name as it appears on your passport. However, you can include a cover letter in your application saying you are yet to be issued a passport in your married name whilst including the supporting documents. You will be fine...

Hello guys, I need genuine advice, I just realized that I did not put the bar code page on the generic application at the top of my application as instructed, also I stapled some of the forms together as against the instruction not to do so, my application was received @ CIC last week, what would you suggest me to do ? People with experience, kindly advice.......

3rdHigh :o, you have committed a grave offence, you know what? just package another application and send it right away...

Com'on, CIC is still human, your application will not be rejected on this basis except that you will give the review officer some extra work trying to remove the staple pins. So just relax, continue living your life, try to forget you applied and start worrying 2-3 months time :P :P :P...

On a lighter note, i have noticed a new trend here, abbreviating names, PH for Pipis Husband,RP for Rastaman Prayer. Im sure BabyBal will soon be BB :P :P :P
How do we know we are truly Naija if we do not abbreviate? ;D

Thanks a lot, two more questions, on my husband's npc attestation of birth his name was quoted 4 times in the letter.the name was correct 3 of the 4 times, there was a typo in one( a letter missing in his surname). Will it be a problem since it was quoted correctly in the title and 2 other areas. His parents names are also correct. Since we are sending d application late, we want to avoid it being returned.

We are claiming points for adaptability cos my sister lives in Canada, she can't find her birth cert ( still searching) if she can't find it, I hope our marriage certs will suffice. Since our dad's name is on both.

Please I want to be clear about the issue of birth certificate, my birth certificate was issued by Lagos state government as registration of birth, form F in the 70s, but hear people talking about NPC birth certificate. Does that mean they don't accept the old birth certificate?

Hello Braindove, you are fine with the old birth certificate because that's what I used and I've got my PER. So nothing to worry about. Are your documents set now?

Please can anyone tell me how long it will take before my account will debited after my application is submitted to CIO.
Thanks
