Hi Mabertia, see my take above. This is a smart move on your part which everyone should start working on now. Once the PR visa comes, your brain will shut down and you will be on your ownMabertia said:Hi Pipis Husband,
A Canadian friend of mine just reminded me I will need to have my spouse's credential evaluated by any of the evaluation bodies designated by CIC, considering that she will have to work also when we get to Canada. This is wisdom from your friend, please follow this advice As the principal applicant, I used WES for my evaluation, and specifically the fswp evaluation package. On WES site, there are different evaluation packages (for students, for immigrants, for job seekers, for employers, for educators, for professional licensing).
Which evaluation package in your opinion would be best for my spouse who is not the principal applicant, but who is a worker and a job seeker accompanying me the principal applicant? Remember we used the fswp package which was the required option for all principal applicants. Please use any package where WES will store the assessment in their database so that it can be accessed by certain employers who want to verify her educational credentials or Canadian schools if your wife decides to further her education
My advice to all principal applicants and correct me if I am wrong, is, it will be easier for us to have our spouses' credentials evaluated while we still dey naija because, imagine contacting any of the Nigerian Universities/Polytechnics from outside to help you process/or authenticate a credential. I do not know what your experiences were, but I experienced hell trying to get my credential evaluated here in Nigeria(despite going down to the campus in person and all the sorting one had to do). Thank God you realise it can be hell if you do it yourself while in Naija So imagine your nightmare if you try to do it from Canada. Please asses your wife's educational credentials starting this week as friends and family here may not be able to do it quite the way you would be able to when done yourself. Once you fly out, you've flown o
I hope this will help all of us as we navigate into Canada and my prayer is, that we all experience a stressless job/career pursuite.
