Timeline
Application received - 12 June 2014,
CC charged last wk of Sept 2014,
PER recvd 8 Oct 2014,
MR recvd 3Mar 2015

Meanwhile, I need some advise as follows:

My daughter resumed undergraduate school in Canada in August 2014 (I understand from earlier advise on this forum & AVO that she can have her medicals in Canada while the rest of my family can do ours in Nigeria). Her TRV (temporary resident visa) expires May 2015 (based on her passport expiration date then, new passport to now expire 2019). However she has a 4 yr study permit issued at point of entry to expire in 2018. She was about to start TRV renewal process before the MR mail arrived yesterday. Plan is to land by late July 2015 with the rest of the family when the rest of the children schooling in Nigeria must have completed the session.(even though I expect that the PR visa would have been issued well before then) - hope this is not confusing! Now the questions are

1) Is it really necessary for my daughter in Canada to do another medicals given that she did one ordered by CIC less than a year ago June 2014) when she was applying for the TRV for her studies?

2) Can I ask her to not bother to renew her TRV since we plan to land in July 2015? Or will she be exposed (immigration wise) between May 2015 when her current visa expires (though she has a study permit letter till 2018) and July 2015 when we land to complete the PR processing?

May thanks for all the wonderful encouragement, counseling, etc on this forum...may all our expectations not be cut short in Jesus Name!

NB - I have challenge in trying to update my timeline on the spreadsheet on my ipad. Anybody have same challenge and a solution? Thanks in advance.

My good people, I would like to ask a question, I know everyone's case is different from each other, while waiting for MR, if one get pregnant before MR... what are the implications and what would be required..., will it adversely affect the medical report at AVO, are there need for additional steps to be taken before MR, bearing in mind still pregnancy...

I would appreciate responses.

I'm also 2014 applicant, my application was received June 18, 2014; PER October 20, 2014 and now waiting medical Request. I wish to be active but unfortunately i work far away from the city/town (network problem); nevertheless I will try to be involved as much as i can atleast keep you guys posted on my progress.

I don't think this is much of an issue lots of people -2014 n 2013 sets-had been in similar situation. When MR comes depending on the stage of the pregnancy u can decide to go n ahead with the test nd use protective shield to protect the baby or babies...a lot of people did this and nothing happened and they all have normal healthy baby
2nd option when MR comes you can simply notify AVO n defer the test until you put to bed, but alot of people always avoid this option maybe because of the uncertainty involved as regards the waiting process ...cheers safe delivery

Hi,
Pregnancy is not a disease,as a result your medical test result should not be adversely affected...however certain clinical parameters may be affected but those will be understandable. The precautions needed to be taken if the medical test is to be done while the individual is pregnant will be provided by the physician.
Deferring the test till after the delivery will prolong d duration of ur processing significantly....filing for additional family member,POF to accomodate d baby,passport etc
Just do what you have to do when d request comes and see how things follow.

We are exactly in the same shoes. My wife is the Principal Applicant though. And we share exactly the same PER date. At this point, we need it to be prayerful, positive for divine favour without any form delay. We are waiting for our MR and PPR as well.

Lol. But our NOCs & Application Filed Date are different. Any way, by the grace of God, I strongly believe it would be a smooth sail all through for us at every milestone in this journey.
