No Preferred, he doesn't need to contact AVO before they start processing his file at Accra. No need to run before you learn to walk. When it is time for his application, AVO will contact him and he will know his case officer. Then he can update his case officer who will guide him further. That is the experience of 2013 applicants. I think it's preferable for this applicant to contact Accra early enough.
I know of an applicant of this stream who received his PERS in 2nd week of September.
There was a new addition to the family and he contacted Accra......yesterday,Accra responded with details of what to do add it to the file which is better than waiting until medical request time to do it.
Let him contact Accra.....it will make the processing of the application faster.

Please i need advise on this one, very urgent. CIC received my application on the 4th of July 2014. I have two weeks for my fees to be deducted. I just realized an error in my application. My wife's place of birth on the birth certificate is different from what is in the passport. What is in the passport is the home town while the birth certificate is the village. Apparently when i was filling the form, i used the one in the passport. What should i do? Can i send a supporting document before my application fee is cashed?

Can I make use of my local master card - GTbank or DD ? please advice. I really dont want them having difficulties in charging my CC.

HI, both options are okay but like you pointed out, you could avoid CC charging issues and just use a DD. All the best
