Has there been any case of canada FSW refusal for overstaying in another country like U.K or what is the chance of being granted if one has overstayed one's leave in another country? Is there any way they can detect this? Thanks

Hi, this question doesn't have a straight forward answer. Canada and some allied countries share info on immigration so it's possible that they could cross reference your name with other countries' database. I guess you know overstaying your visa in any country is illegal and it's sufficient grounds for denial of another visa for a while.

Wether Canada will use this against you remains to be seen. Just pray on it, wish you the best ahead.

In any case, CIC would respond to each applicant on an individual basis. If an applicant is refused, the reasons would be indicated in their response.
Overstaying in another country could be as a result of different reasons. And definitely, they can detect if they choose to probe further. But keep your fingers crossed while you await response from CIC.
