FSW 2014 applicants from Nigeria - Let's network

The current situation on charging and PER issuance
On CC:The earliest CC charging finally down to 62 days.Applicants waiting period gradually coming
down and will be down to the usual 30 days very soon.
On CC:Late charging could be up to 90 days now based on 1.Card declining.2.Failure in network.
Attempt on charging will be carried out 3 times and by the last attempt if problem persists,application
will be returned.
On DD:The encashment is subject to prompt processing among the parties involved in the transaction.
For application received on the same date with CC or DD mode of payment,payments are being effected at the same time.
For example:
Application received on the 9th July.
CC CHARGED:28 OCT with applicant getting alert via SMS/Email instantly or within 24 hrs.
DD ENCASHED:28 OCT with applicant waiting period for such encashment for 7-10 days but
now it is 10-20 days due to the current operational changes at CIC.
On PERER notification via email within 4-7 days as at November but the current scenario
now for PER issuance is 2-4 weeks after payment deduction.

Oh dear!!! Latest DD encashed is sept 16,and I have not heard anything from CIC yet. I think I should probably start thinking of EE. :'( :'( :'(

Hi guys!!!

Just called CIC minutes ago to ask for my UCI number. A very nice lady answered the phone, she was very gently despite she told me that she could not access my file, so she was not able to give me my UCI number.......

Anyway... she told me a very usefull information though: CIC will NOT stop for holidays! They will stop only Dec 25-26th and Jan 01st. THAT'S IT! [/color]

Sooooooo...... we won't have to wait for their holiday!

I don't know about their holiday mood.... but they will work!!!!

I came across this forum this week and have been following since then. I can say that this is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!, kudos to the initiators. My timeline is as follows;
submitted application on 3rd August 2014
Application received by CIC on 6th August 2014
PER received on 27th Nov 2014

Thanks for your post. I need a clarification as my application was received on the 6th of October but i used DD as my mode of payment. My application had discrepancy but my lawyer told me to worry less as the Visa officer will use his or her discretion at my favour. Since they have started chargin CC up till October 10, do i conclude fairly that my DD will be sent for enchantment from the bank and waiting for it to clear. I raised the draft on a Canadian bank

I sent my application through DHL today under NOC category 1212. Latest cap updated on 26th NOV has reached 164.
What next? In how many days will CIC update the acceptance of application form & how would I know that apart from courier tracking ofcource?

What type of discrepancy do you have regarding your application? If you check from previous post some August applicant are being charged now. So worry less and lets watch as they continue to charge october applicant

@tbaba My organisation did not give me a reference letter as it is against the policy of the organisation but just and introduction letter containing my salary, my level and when i joined the organisation. I had to write a letter to support and attach promotion letters, pay slips and all that. My lawyer says the the CIC guys understand that some employers can be erratic that i should just hope for the best. So i am trying to find out if they would have done completeness check on my application since it was received on the 6th of October and just waiting for DD enchasment. I am thinking if they officer didnt consider the letters and the supporting documents suitable ,wont they have returned the application now? Just thinking
