@ Kollins, Between Q-life and the children's consultant, which is better in terms of speedy response?

Both are excellent.
You may need to get an appointment of about 1 or 2 weeks ahead to use Q-life while you dont need to book appointment to use The children's consultant.You can always walk in and do it...just get there early enough.
Q-life have a slightly lower charge for children while adult is 28k while The children consultant cost is a flat rate of 28K for everybody 1 day old to adulthood.

Even though I'm lost on what you refer to as visa charges,I'll still try to tell you your financial expectation regarding the process.
At the submission stage,you will have to include a processing charge for every member of your family.
Principal applicant is 550CAD
Spouse is 550 CAD
Children from 0 to 22 years,unmarried will pay 150CAD each.
When you have scaled through this and your file transferred to your local visa office especially during medical request,principal applicant and the spouse will be asked to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ..RPRF.
Principal applicant pays 490CAD
Spouse pays 490CAD
0 to 22 years pays......nil.
That is all that is requested financially .......,the rest cash will be spent by you to put things in place.

To see your name on left hand side as u said,go to the top of this page as you are reading this post(you must be logged in),you will see Home ,Assessment ,Help ,Search ,Profile,Inbox,Members,Rss ,Logout .
Left click on the "Profile" after which you will see Profile info,Modify Profile and Actions .
Look under the "Modify Profile"......you will see "Forum profile information ".Click on it and supply all the requested info to current level of your application .
Go down of it and click on "change profile" at the bottom right.
Your details will be updated on the left hand side as you want.

Just to add Starting August 1st, 2014, the age at which a child is considered a dependant will be reduced from under 22 years of age to less than 19 years of age

If you have received PER, no qualms. But if you have not, you just have to pray that it normalizes and goes in your favour.Usually,it is very helpful when one has got more than normal;well over the expected.Fingers are not equal,though. You cannot send another POF to them at this point except they request from you. Just keep praying,i believe that it will be well with your file. Cheers

i learnt that prevaling rate as at the time your application was received @ CIC is usually used for POF.

Hi, before AVO will send you MR request and possibly, request for updated POF, you can source the difference and pay into your account to ensure the dip in exchange rate does not affect you and you are prepared for AVO. Some applicants have proactively sold shares to raise the difference, others sold land or an extra family car. Just ensure you have a paper trail to explain the inflow into your account in case AVO request for it. Wish everyone the best ahead.

Don't worry...it cant affect PER...you will get it surely.
If it will affect it,you wont be charged in the first place.
This has been analyzed already during the completeness check of your package weeks before you were even charged.

Maybe Accra can ask for update when they lay their hands on your application,so just get prepared for it.
Very unlikely of any negative issues.

I believe you will be judged by the conditions prevalent as at the time your app was received. However, you should expect (not compulsory though) for Accra to ask for an update on POF when you receive PER and your case file has been transferred to them.

Way forward would be to increase that fixed dep for national peace if u can now and be ready if they ask. God's grace

Nope...they are wrong.
For this current FSW,your academic qualification doesn't have to match your profession.
Your academic qualification is just to accumulate points towards 67 points and not a determinant factor with reference to your interested NOC.
Once you have documented experience in your interested NOC which can be supported by your experience letter and you have been able to accumulate 67 points and above,you are good to go regardless of your academic qualification.
Tell your friends they are WRONG and if they ask for a proof from you,let them contact me so that I can show them my academic degree qualification and my experience letter.

Hi Kollins, please how about NOC 3233 for Licensed practical Nurse, can a Registered nurse apply under this NOC.
Because the academic qualification for NOC 3233 specifically asked for registration as a LPN (licensed practical nurse)., so is it possible to apply under this NOC since their job descriptions are almost the same?.
