Hello fellow canadian citizen aspirants please I want to ask a question o. I sent my application on the 18th September and they received it on the 24th September 2014. I just checked on the caps for 2171 and discovered its capped 1000. Please is there hope for me o. Because when I sent it, 2171 was just about 347 capped. Please house advise me on what to do. How do I contact cic to know the status of my application.

hi everyone.....applying for a study permit for U of winni......suppose to resume jan 2015....but just started visa processing.....will an agaency be useful like make it fASTER?.....what do they mean by digital photo...in the online application ?......what are the other advisable supporting documents.....hope to hear from yall soon.

This is probably not the right forum for discussing Study permit as this is strictly for FSW, you can follow and ask questions on the international student thread. However because i applied for Study visa too both paper and online, i can comment on this, for digital photo they mean you go and snap in the dimension specified and tell the guy to save it in soft copy and give u or u scan the correct sized passport.

As for the use of consultant, no consultant or agent can speed up the application process. it already seems late, but you can give it a shot, submit your online application latest monday because it usually takes between 5 to 8 weeks for online, however it will be wise you do you medicals ahead (my advise do it this saturday), as it is obvious there wont be time to do it after the visa office is done reviewing your file.

As for the other documents, kindly check the checklist on line, you can PM me for more details. basically all documents that shows you have a valid admission letter, right funding that covers both tuition and living expenses, show beyond reasonable doubt that the program you are going for will add value to you and you must all demonstrate that you will return to your country upon completion of you program

Hi, welcome on board. Good to know you and as for receipt of PER, it was actually 90 days average time before most of us got our PER. It might be faster in your case though and I hope you get accepted.

From the look of things i might submit by Jan 2015, my NOC 2131 is 381, i have a feeling i might meet up. what do you think? or should i focus on Express entry? i feel its too soon to give up on the FSW 2014 race. my school Uniben has really delayed my process for ECA with ICAS. i'm almost losing hope.

From the look of things i might submit by Jan 2015, my NOC 2131 is 381, i have a feeling i might meet up. what do you think? or should i focus on Express entry? i feel its too soon to give up on the FSW 2014 race. my school Uniben has really delayed my process for ECA with ICAS. i'm almost losing hope.

Hi Meta4, january entries will be subject to the new express entry system. I suppose fsw ends 31/12/14.

With two more eligible occupations for the current Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) having capped out so far this month, potential candidates are rushing to file their applications before the end of 2014. This is due to the fact that until December 31, candidates may apply directly for Canadian permanent residence under the program. As of January 1, 2015 and the launch of the Express Entry immigration selection system, this will no longer be the case.

Sorry for the delay, ICAS is known for their snail speed, most people preferred WES for their ECA.
