Hi guys,
I'm also new here and I need some help.
I've just started the process of gathering all my application documents.
I'm at the transcript verification stage.
I'm nervous about ICAS with the different reviews read but I've already applied to them. Although, my transcript hasn't been sent from UNILAG yet. Do you think it's wise to change to WES now?
How long did your own verification take with ICAS from a Nigerian school?

Secondly, I don't have 3million liquid cash at the moment because I just got a house under mortgage; and I don't think I'll have it by the time I send in the application. However, I just bought a new car. Would these suffice as assets?

Thirdly, my NOC is 0113 what is the current number of applications?

Lastly, would this new program end in December or it will continue after the new express program coming up in January?

If you can afford to pay for another ECA from WES, by all means go ahead. Anyone that comes first can be used for your application
How long did your own verification take with ICAS from a Nigerian school? I used WES at non-peak period not now when the whole world is trying to get it. It took just 1 month then

See this from the Document Checklist; Provide proof of unencumbered and readily transferable funds in a convertible currency available for settlement in
Canada:
• current bank certification letter; or
• evidence of savings balance; or
• fixed or time deposit statements.

Thirdly, my NOC is 0113 what is the current number of applications? Nobody knows, it's all guesses and CIC doesn't not provide up-to-date data. The data on their website is usually 5- 6 weeks old but you can check this forum owner's figures at this link, http://www.canadavisa.com/total-number-of-federal-skilled-worker-applications-received-by-cic.html

Lastly, would this new program end in December or it will continue after the new express program coming up in January? No, it will end on April 30, 2015 or if the global cap of 25,000 is exhausted before then. It will overlap with the new Express Entry Model which will begin in January 2015.

You can get your police report from Force HQ at Alagbon in Lagos, the finger print department for about N2,500 to N3,000.

You can get your police report from Force HQ at Alagbon in Lagos, the finger print department for about N2,500 to N3,000. However, police report is not necessary with your application at this stage. If your application scales through to Visa Office stage, you will be required to submit it then before passport request so most applicants just wait till that time. Cheers.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. The next step is that CIO will send you a PER by email but this might come about 3 to 4 weeks from now. Your file will then be sent to Accra VO fo futher processing. AVO is supposed to send you an AOR by email but they might not. At that stage, they will scrutinise your forms and documents and may make some requests after their review before medical requests will come up. Based on last's year's applicants experience, that may be 8 months time from now. Patience is the key word, all the best.

Type in, write what the form can contain and then use extra sheets for the rest of your information. You must use the forms before using extra sheets and indicate 'see annexure attached' or 'see attachment please' on the form. Simply design excel tables like the format of the relevant form and make you you input the name and code of the form on top with your full name. Also sign the bottom of each extra sheet, cheers.
