Hello Peeps,

Just to update the house. I just used my GTB Mastercard to make the RPRF payment (CAD 980)now and it went at the first try. My First bank Mastercard was NOT approved so I tried GTBank and it was approved at once.

So if you have got GTB Mastercard, you can use it before the January 1st deadline that people are speculating.

Although I was charged like N196.2/CAD $1, I guess it's still better and less stressful than having to start looking for alternatives later.

Each time we try to do transaction from any Canadian province we get to know what the current is with GTBank. As recent as last week some exchange were effected here for N168 amongst friends and by weekend I learnt it jumps to N190+

Thanks,tbaba.Actually,i wanted to advice the house along this direction before i saw your quote.Friends,please pay your RPRF now if you have not done so.You can copy the site and paste on your browser to see the info.Paying it next year might be difficult and even more expensive given the rate at which naira is being devalued on a daily basis.
I discussed this with my lawyer this morning and i have paid the RPRF for my wife and myself this morning with my Access bank VISA debit card.The transaction was very smooth.If you want to pay RPRF,you can use this link;

I just paid my RPRF some moments ago.....was at the bank to ask them question about the forex limit, the banks can't do anything cos the directive is from CBN with Government backing....

Got this from GTBank in the mail a few days back. Thankfully the limit still gives room for rprf for 2 people (980cad roughly 700plus usd with bank charges)

Yes you can pay through your friends abroad. But you have to create your log in details and your friend will log in and pay for you.
If you check the Guide 7000 you can pay now or later.

Are we also considering that the CAD rate might drop before the request to pay?..........(also might increase.....plenty things to worry about for this fsw)

GT is useless, better use your UBA card. After spending hours on the phone with GT, no solution but with UBA you can spend more on Web payment
