FSW 2014 applicants from Nigeria - Let's network

Hello.........I got notification from my bank (GTB) on Sat. 28/06/14 on the debit of my dollar mastercard account by CIC. Though I cannot ascertain the exact date the account was charged, but suspect it was Friday 27/06/14. I applied under NOC 2132 and my application was received by CIO on 07/05/2014 delivered through DHL.

I guess I'm the first person on this forum to be charged from Nigeria. Can someone advise when I should expect PER mail. Thanks for all the informative posts from our senior colleagues here.

Very encouraging....I don't see GTB issued Mastercards (Credit/Debit) causing any issues with regard to CIC charging, backed with prayers and hopes obviously

I was filling my background form and I was wondering what you all filled for NYSC Orientation camp (the 3 weeks we are in camp) in the Activity column. I initially put in "Orientation" but I am worried that might make them think otherwise and raise some alarm bells.

Any ideas of what to put? I think training or deployment camp might seem suspicious as well.

You can add the infant to your application and include a cover letter stating that the infant is too young to go through the rigors of passport processing at the time of applying for FSW. This is sufficient and the necessary details can later be updated when your file gets to AVO.

IS AFFIDAVIT ACCEPTABLE FOR DECLARATION OF AGE? If the affidavit is provided by either of your parent and includes the full name of the other parent, it is okay. If its not possible to obtain such at this time, then just get a birth certificate from the closest National Population Office.
