Are there people who have already applied in FSWP 2014 and thinking of applying for EE? Will it not be contradictory to apply in second program when file is already being processed in one program?

I have sent under FSWP in Nov, and also interested in EE, but not sure if its useful by any chance.

FAQ from CIC:
30. I am currently waiting for my application for permanent residence to be processed in the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Can I submit an Express Entry profile?

You may submit a new Express Entry profile, but it is not necessary. However, we will not refund any processing fees paid related to your original application. Your existing application will be processed based on the rules in place at the time you applied.

If you choose to create an Express Entry profile and are invited to apply, you will be required to submit a new application for permanent residence and the associated processing fees.

I dont know whether we should do this or not, but we will run into many confusions like

-- double fees
-- documents to be prepared and send two times,
-- if former FSWP application is going smooth and positive, what how to respond to EE app?

etc
etc,

It is very difficult to know what is right and how to proceed,

If you have any doubt that your application might not be successfully processed within time then better go for EE. If you get a positive response from FSWP, you can remove your EE profile or not respond to ITA.

You are right fatima but FSWP 2014 applications are processed dead slow and soon will be overtaken by EE candidates. EE candidates are going to land earlier than Late FSWP applicants like me So there is a bit confusion .If I apply for EE today then I may even get ITA before any response for my FSWP application So waiting is better I think unless getting any negative response from CIC.

When next draw will be taking place & what will be the minimum threshold are too risky & ambiguous in EE. Its only my personal opinion that applying for EE after FSWP will not cause harm in any case.

Apart from the double fees nothing should be lost. Your ECA is still valid & so is IELTS certificate. The best bit is you have almost documents ready at hand to go for it & as far as the FAQs are concerned you can do it. One big reason for this argument is the timeline for EE is just blistering fast.
