1. Maybe you can send a case-specific enquiry to the embassy.
You can raise "Case Specific Enquiry" with your visa office.

There is a box there that you can enter your specific inquiries and inform some changes in your information and status of your application.


1. Some of the global members ordered GCMS notes to know the details of the status of their application.

2. Another thing, you can call CIC from outside Canada 1-613-944-4000.
Ask your queries and inform that you have changes in your info on how you can update the CIC /VO with the changes.
Ask for the status of your application.

My 2nd update was on Oct 2014 nothing after that as i had to add my new born baby documents which they had after i informed them about my babywhich i did on april 16th 2015 and nothing after that
So when should i expect a MR Request

I filed my application in May 2014, got my second line updated on November 1st but have received no response thereafter....

The waiting is really stressful...do we have any other way to find out the file status or has anyone under the same situation taken any important step which has been helpful...

I would be grateful if some one could guide me on this....

You should get an acknowledgement letter for ur gcms application as shown below. If u have applied for it through some agency , they might receive it and forward u. Also they send us a pdf copy of the receipt.

thanks for your reply.....could you please tell me did u apply yourself or someone applied on your behalf from canada .....that might be the difference ....coz my sister didnt get any acknowledgement letter from their side she applied on my behalf on 8th may through paper application....please let me know if you know anything about it..

I have my 2nd line update as "We started processing your application" . How do i know when i have to go for medicals? what will be the third line ? will I get any mail to go and get the medical tests done or I just have to go anytime now after second line Or will they update in the status " go for medical test" ./...?? lots of confusions and doubts ... please help ...
