hi friends i am abhishek gupta from rajasthan and classmate of munira...i applied for NOC3142 on 9th may 2013 and application received on 15th may 2013 got my per on 24th july.

but on other hand i have already finished credentials through alliance and they just waiting to tell my result as soon as they relieve my IELTS academic score.

i have already given IELTS academic and result due on 6th september..with minimum requirement on 7 band overall.

my suggestion is as munira told u earlier start credentials as soon as possible so that u can give exam as soon as u reach canada

about jobs please be ready for initial tough time..we need to clear PCE written and practical exam before we become licensed PT.

pt assistant get salary or around 10 to 18 $/hr and once u become licensed PT u can earn 39 to 45 $/hr ..

so did really no matter you are bpt or mpt and u have tons of experience because in canada we all have to start with zero and to clear PCE written is first step to achieve your goal

welcome Abhishek...I read on the forum that WES evaluations are accepted by alliance. I have emailed Lindsay at Alliance PT. If it is accepted most of the other physios might be in luck. Will keep everyone posted. But none the less guys start with your credentialing procedure. Do not bank on the WES evaluation being accepted.

thanks munira for information but i need to correct you as WES evalution is accepted by alliance only if u do complete evaluation i mean full course to course and subject evalution and not the one which we did for visa purpose

u need to send lot more documents to WES in that case..so other physios pls call alliance and conform if your WES result is valid there..but one thing for sure u need to give IELTS academic for sure

Hello Munira and thanks very much starting this forum...

My wife is MPT in Hand conditions and WES has evaluated as Canadian equivalency as Masters in health conditions instead of Hand conditions.
Do I need to contact them and ask for a change.

Please let us know if Alliance PT accepts the WES credential evaluation which will save lot of time for indian applicants.

Thanks once again.

Hi Sandy,
Personally I feel its best to get the Credentialing done by Alliance PT itself. The exam has to be given through them so better that they do the credentials as well. As for the mix up in the MPT degree dont bother now. You got your PER. If it was a problem I am sure CIO wouldnt have even issued a PER.

hi sandy yes please contact WES and tell them about the mistake as both means different.. on other hand Alliance do accept WES but in its full course to course and subject to subject evaluation

on WES site u will see 2 options on evalution course to course and subject to subject...u need to send lot many documents for that...so please contact alliance directly and confirm them if they accept your WES result..and do need IELTS academic

Abhishek Sandy already got his PER on the same day as me. Will it really matter if he gets a clarification from WES now

yes munira it will as per just means you have all documents and fees , they dont go in detail evaluation but once it go to visa office they check all the things in detail and it might be a problem..on other hand when u go for job they ask for WES and Alliance boths result so there also it might be a problem..i feel better to be safe than sorry...thats what i feel..

I feel same may be there is no issues in Visa processing as they check the canadian equivalency like bachelor, masters in physiotherapy etc....they don't bother about the specialization but I do agree may be in future an employer or authority may ask for corrected docs..

And moreover I should get the WES corrected for free as it's their fault :)

And if you guys also let me know how to start preparing for the written exams as I also believe it's better to start credential and preparation..Any books or sites would be much appreciated....

Sandy Just find out from WES if they can give you a corrected evaluation report. the decision about informing NDVO about the same is totally yours. I got no take on that.

Hello fellow PTs I'm a PT from Dehradun,

sandy call WES and tell them about the mistake and if they correct it and give u new report than only tell NDVO about it..but i am little confused didnt u check it when u got the report and now its little too late ..but still give it a try as fast as possible to not to strech this issue more

U will find most of the study material Sullivan, Maggie, Kisner and Colby(latest addition) as of now.Other books may be required as well. you will figure out once you start, but these three we need to know cover to cover for sure.

Nice discussion :)
