Dear Experts,

As per the latest cap info (dated: Jan 22nd 2014), total number of applications in Chemical Engineers NOC is 204. This number is, perhaps, indicating the total PERs rendered. I have a query and request all to please guide me solve it.

I applied under the same NOC on Jan 18th 2014 and probably it will reach the CIC office today. How far would I make it within the cap? And the number '204' is the latest one or counting towards the successful applications received till, for example, October/November 2013?

It will be great to hear from all you experts.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Shrinivas

Dear Shrini..........
What I observed for 2134 trend is that update of all NOCs taking place at an avg of every 10 ten days........
Each CAP update ......... Accumulates ...... 15 to 27 Chem Engg NOC.....
So you can see for yourself....... I guess...... You can make it to CAP.....:)

Thanks joe. But, my worry is due to the fact that CIC is updating the cap (in terms of PER) pertaining to the applicants who have file their applications in late Oct. 13 and early Nov. 13. so if every 10 days average PERs CIC gives is 15, then it will account for 45 PER in Dec 13 and another 45 in Jan 14. So, 204+90= 294 till Dec 13. So, in that case I will fall beyond the cap. So, what say?

Or the fact can be something else? I mean, can we expect CIC to work on the applications randomly?

Also, while giving PER would CIC give more stress on the education part of an applicant? In that case, my application will be through.

Thanks once again for your valuable update in the direction of a 'repetitive' query/worry.

Shrinivas

In my opinion, as soon as your application gets to CIC, It obtains a UCI number on FIFO basis and this comes even before PER.
I am saying this because when i applied, an error was found in my application and it was returned to me. I opened the package and found a UCI number written on it in red ink. I made the correction and sent in back. In about 2 months later, i received PER.

Thanks a lot kolemm for your valuable info. Thanks once again joe99.

But, getting a UCI number means what?

It means your application falls within the first 300 to get to Sydney, hence, there's a likely-hood to have a PER.
UCI number is a prerequisite for Positive Eligibility Review (PER) .

Hey kolemm, but mere getting a UCI number may not mean of PER likelihood. What I have observed on these forums here is every applicant gets a UCI. I am sorry if I sound disagreeing with you.

Thanks once again.
