Few reasons why FSW 2013 will be faster this time:
- For the first time assessed education credentials were asked, now this relieves CIC of checking genuineness of educational documents submitted which i guess must have saved a lot of time while processing an application
- This time they are no longer accepting job duties written on self attested paper and norms to prove job duties in a NOC are stricter. All this will help them to quickly verify the genuineness of employment documents.
- Also, the overall cap is just 5000, half as compared to what it was a year ago, and with a sub cap of 300, i think big visa offices such as NDVO, LVO, CPP-O, Beijing, will get a thousand cases or so each, while others might get a few hundreds.
Also, rules were a bit different for 2010,2011, n 2012 FSW and as such, as per my optimistic opinion, 2013 FSW visa process should be faster.
I don't have any substance to prove this, but i think, 2013 FSW process, from file application to visa stamping, for each individual should between 8-10 months, with few exceptional (read not so lucky) cases can go beyond 12 months.
Also, the strike factor might be delaying visa processing, despite we have seen that NDVO is working (issuing visas to 2010 cases). Now, as soon as the strike gets over we should be hopeful to see more activism across all visa offices.
So, all we can do it wait, pray, and stay positive
