FSW 2013 - Eligibility Criteria Query

Dear Forum Members,

I am interested in canadian immigration. I checked with few consultants regarding my eligibility. They all are saying you are eligible to apply and you are achieving the desired score. But i have one doubt about my immigration category. Let me just explain you about my education. I have did BS (Computer Science) 02 years degree program from HEC Pakistan (Higher Education Commission) recognized university.

I am basically Computer Network Engineer working in Dubai UAE having almost 10+ years field experience. As per immigration consultants my category is "2147 Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)".

I just want to know whether i am eligible in above category or not ? Some of my friends told me you cant apply under this category as you dont have Bachelor of Engineering in the same discipline. This category is for those who have Accredited Engineering Qualifications
i.e. (PEC - Pakistan Engineering Council).

I would appreciate if someone help me out in this context.

if you degree is computer science and you have majors in computing/computer science then definitely you are eligible, for NOC category 2147 they have both requirements either professional degree in computer engineering or in Computer science.
