FSW 2013 Current Status

Hello everyone,

Had been looking out for applying under FSW and understood that CIC has started accepting applications since May'13. Does anyone have an insight on the caps that might have reached.

Also, please help me with the following information.
1) Chances of application going through with the process if applied on priority.
2) Information Technology (Software Engineer or Software development) an identified skill as per the caps defined.

Hi - there are no official cap figures released by CIC yet.

However, you can take a look at this spreadsheet which is a compiled list of applicants on this forum, and the NOC stats gives a very good idea of which NOCs are the most popular.

I believe 2147, 2174, 2132 and 1112 have probably already reached the cap several times over by now. Bare in mind the figures in the spreadsheet above will only be a fraction (guessing 2% to 5%) of the worldwide total.

I think probably 4 or 5 NOCs are already full, with another 2 or 3 filling very soon. The rest will probably fill quite slowly over the coming months.
But until CIC releases some official figures, all we can do is guesswork.

Keep checking here and hopefully CIC will update it soon!
