Hello Future Canadians!!!!

1 question guys. To those who landed already.

DO we need to show the required Funds to the Immigration Officer upon landing in the airport?

Thanks
Someone who already done this by landing without all POF, please clear the confusion.

thanks, but, how background check can be done? none of my previous employers had been contacted.

Hi

Background checks are not necessarily done by this point in time. On our app, our medicals was done and dusted, and only then were background checks done...

Regards

Yup, thanks. VO called me Tuesday past to ask if I had done medical. I answered yes and about 15 mins later, I got passport request. So shocked was I, almost fell out my chair, :P. Sent my passport off to them the next day and my ECAS updated with 3rd line "Medicals... received" yesterday. Based on movement on my file, they seem to look at it on Tuesdays, so thinking that maybe Tuesday coming they'll issue visa if they haven't already and send the passport back to me :) :D. My VO don't play, lol or maybe my case was so straightforward that there was no need for any delays. Also, Tuesday (Oct 21) will be exactly 5 months since my application was filed with CIC.

Hahaha that must be the news of the century for you so far :D May be the Kingston VO doesnt has much cases to deal with that's why they are such prompt for your application :P :P
