open ended question, i have answered the same on this forum thread multiple times

here it is again

each case is different
upon medial pass - vo initiated foss/scc checks and sometimes b.grund checks may still be in process

all this corresponds to how much of a travel history u have etcc etc

give it about 6 months - maximum again this is maximum

if all is easy and clear - then 90 days .. however dont forget the current inventory and the way its trailing

good luck

Can you please break that down fss scc what's that?

Hello everyone on this forum. I am a 2014 applicant and would like to raise a query regarding PPR. As all of you are experienced campaigners you might be able to provide your valuable inputs.

Can any one give an idea on time gap between NDVO receiving medicals and issuing Passport Requests!

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I am a 2014 applicant.

My Application reached on 13th May 10.30AM; And applied under 2173(which was 2147 in 2013 year) - I sent last year but application was returned due to cap got filled.

I have sent my DD from Royal Bank of Scotland.

My queries are:::
My bank states - DD is valid for 3 months -- is that true??
If CIC is unable to withdraw the amount, will my file be returned??

Please provide your inputs. I am very much tensed - as currently 22nd May applicants are getting PER - but I Dint heard anything from CIC or from Bank :(

Generally DD's are valid for 6 months, and I am 100% sure about that because I work in bank. And , YES, CIC will return your application if the are unable to encash the DD!

MY consultant told me that CIC will ask you to send a new DD. How far is this true???

Hey, since you work in a bank, can you tell me if it is possible for CIC to encash a draft that is in another currency? I made a blunder as I was misguided by my bank and sent it in my currency and sent the exchange rate list along with that. The amount was deducted right away.

CIC clearly mentioned to issue the draft in CAD not in any other currency unless you are making payment in your own country office! So i am not sure if CIC will try to encash a DD issued in other currency! But there is a strong possibility that they would not do it! Sorry about that!

FOSS - FOSS is an abbreviation for 'Field Operations Support System {Used for name check and corresponding triggers) google for more info

SCC - Security checks - includes pcc verifications

ORDER GCMS AFTER 3-4 MONTHS POST PER OR IDEALLY AFTER A MONTH AFTER MEDICAL LINE OR AFTER MEDICAL TEST - ...
IDEALLY ORDER THEM ONCE THROUGH THE CASE AND AT THE LAST STAGE WHEN PSPT RQST IS DELAYED - THIS TRIGGERS A BF' DATE..

GOOD LUCK

Hi Terki, what do you mean by "THIS TRIGGERS A BF' DATE.."? Can you please elaborate?
