Still there are applicants including me who are from as back as May 2013 waiting for MR. So many others waiting for PPR and some for DM.

Hi Friends,

I landed at Toronto on 8 July 2014 for a short 10 day visit and returned back to Bahrain on 19 July.

All the formalities at the airport immigration and customs counters went very well, no issues at all. Also, service Canada visit for SIN was quick and simple. the staff at Service Canada is very friendly and helpful.

All n all it was a nice trip and really liked the place.

If anyone wants to know any specific details, please feel free to PM me.

I would like to thank all the forum friends for sharing their experiences.

Hi Justin,
What is your Visa Office?
Many forum members have received PPR1 including me, from NDVO. The visa office must be migrating to a new system wherein they will ask for the original passport only when they are ready to issue a visa. This doesnt clear the reason behind asking for a passport copy as it is already submitted during application. I feel they may want to get the latest passport details, incase it has been updated since filing for application...

I called my bank regarding the DD, they say that their system does not provide any data regarding the encashment and only the party to whom I have given the DD can confirm it. I know that the bank has not given physical money and if the DD is encashed the issuing bank will be notified, but when someone doesnt want to help, you cannot force them to...

Thank you nicks for asking me this, I called the branch again and the RPRF DD was encashed at the CENTRAL PROCESSING CENTRE - Delhi Branch... The date he could not tell me, but atleast i know it was encashed...

One suggestion i want to give. Can we add one more column in spreadsheet to know Days between Process Started & Medicals request?

Here we go, all done
Visa issued on July 23'rd. I personally went to embassy and picked up COPR's.
In eCAS there is "Decision Made"

And of course, thank you very much on good wishes!
