Hi Buddy,

I dont want to discourage you. I feel you should be ready for a Canadian November if you plan landing in winter. Most of the people who went to Canada suggest that we land in summer, as during that season we can be more mobile, and can complete many formalities like bank account opening, health card registeration, apartment hunting, job hunting... Also babies are more succeptible to cold and can be very stressful to them. If you can wait till march or april, it will be good for your pocket too

Thanks for the reply Bhaumick. I am kind of thinking in the same way. Only thing gives me second thought is, sooner the better approach. Landing 6 months later that I could have landed makes me think that I am being late and chances of successful employment for me decreases. So both options have positive and negative sides therefore it is a matter of deciding which one is better for the family. Seems like I will be thinking more about it.

Hi buddies

I have been asked to provide medical and right of residency fee how long does it take more for getting visa any idea ?

Also can someone tell me.

After asking the medical certificates and Right of Residency Fee when do the CIC ask for for funds and what form is acceptable to them.

At the time of application i showed them bank statement with Manager's letter of funds.

Recently though (since i heard about giving them medical and RRF), since i had an idea that its the step nearing to the end i have opened a dollar account as a plan to convert my local currency into an international currency which i shall be able to take along, i was wondering if thats ok ?

thnx

Dear Friends...We all have been waiting for long and might feel that we have been left at odds...I just want to say our files are also at odds with each other....so things that happen with our files might also be at odds leading to different timelines... We must try to keep calm and make decisions in a sound manner...denied twice by the visa office to return our passports with PR stamp taught one thing to have patience..And have it like a rock....but you should contact them if no choice left for you...In my case i made mistake of informing my new employer that my passports are with embassy...and then the delay later led to all sorts of problems that you can think of with the employer...But now by god's grace i have been made even with other PR VISA holders....yes i received my PASSPORTS BACK TODAY....had not checked ECAS for last 3-4 days so it might be within this time, that it changed to DECISION MADE. Please turn my line YELLOW..and BEST OF LUCK to all the waiting members.......

Thanks 1111, I had sent them CSE's and mails 3 times and also visited them twice as objections were getting raised for my continuation in the Job, which made me quite desperate. Each time i visited NDVO, i was told by the lady on counter that i can take my passports back but the decision is still pending and I will have to resubmit later when asked. And i refused both times for taking them back without a decision.
