Hi guys,

Does it mean that when they say (second line) processing started .....they have finished background checks?

I am just asking because they have not visited our office or called ?

Just worried.

You can have checks anytime before DM.. however normally PP & Medicals are issued after BGC has been done or they consider not doing for the particular candidate

Hi Forumites,

Today I have received a Medical request (For me and my wife) fr om CIC-NDVO office, without 2nd line i.e processing started...

By this time I think CIC-NDVO might have done background check and financial check?

Please advice.

Thanks,
Krutick13.

First Congratulations...
Normally its within 1 to 2weeks time.
I am not sure, that you can send your PP to any other visa office than NDVO for stamping. You might have to return to India for it, that is my understanding. Medical is what can be done from anywhere.

Hello,

I would like to know if the canadian embassy in Paris will keep my original passport when I submit my application in person? I am asking this because I am a resident of Switzerland and I will have to travel back once the application is submitted in Paris, and I would be more confortable travelling WITH a passport.

This concerns a Temporary Resident Visa and a Work Permit application.

Thanks!

Hi ramgarhia,

Firstly I got the email from ndvo requesting for medicals. And nextly it was updated in ecas that processing started.

When I get the passport request, is there any way I can submit it to visa office in canada?

Thanks,
Krutick13.

I suggest raise CSE with them..nobody is more aware about this process than CIC itself. They can suggest if you can submit in Canada or not. You can raise CSE now so you don't have to wait till your PP request and waste time.

I suggest to directly call VO in which city ur currently living rather than raising CSE. Because they will reply in weeks/months time. They are very good people and will definitely solve the problem.

That is a good option

I am glad to be in the position to make a victorious comment on this forum.

I thought I had come to the end of the road when I got involved in a Court case after LVO sent me medical request.

I am glad to report the following:

a. Court case has ended in my favour- I was found not guilty
b. I obtained and sent new Police certificate to LVO on 10/07/2014
c. This morning I got the following email:

Dear Applicant:

Your application has reached the final stage of processing. So that your permanent resident

visa(s) can be issued, you must now submit the documents listed below. (These instructions do

not apply to accompanying family members who are entitled to Canadian citizenship, because

they will have to travel on their Canadian passports.)

1. Your passport and a passport for each accompanying family member. The passports must

meet the Passport Specifications as detailed below.

2. Two recent photographs of yourself and two recent photographs of each of your

accompanying family members. The photos must meet the Photo Specifications as detailed

below

3. The “Updated Information Chart” below, fully completed for you and each accompanying

family member.

I have one question to my LVO seniors: How do I send the passports to LVO? I notice LVO mentioned VAC as medium of submission of Passports, How do I go about this?
