My wife's SSC certificate does not have her father name. Can I attach middle examination certificate with SSC to provide information on name, dob and father name.

If someone who's flying from India, has a gap of 5 hours for his connecting flight to Canada from Heathrow, can he see visitors at his departure terminal for some time, till he broads the flight at heathrow. ??? ??? ???

No, you cannot go out to departure area. You have stay inside in secure area.

Transit visa mean, you have stay inside the terminal building in secured area (after security check). If your relatives are also flying from same terminal than no issue. otherwise you cannot go out of airport. All Indian passengers having valid US/Canada visa are allowed to transit through Heathrow.

Dear All,
I have two separate questions and I appreciate any guidance:
1- My passport is going to expire in 7 months time. I want to get the visa on this one and after that apply for a new passport. Therefore, on the landing in Canada, I will have 2 passports. One is the old one with Canada visa and the other is the new one which is valid. Is it possible to enter Canada in this situation?
2- Is there any way to extend the first entry? I mean usually the visa is valid 1 year after the medical, is it possible to extend it by doing another medical?

one can still travel on an old passport, if they have a valid visa on it. but since, your passport is expiring in 7 months. make sure what's the minimum expiry required. (please confirm this with seniors).
No you cannot extend the visa, its only valid till the date shown on your PP. Before that, you have to do your landing.

Today I have received a Medical request (For me and my wife) from CIC-NDVO office, without 2nd line i.e processing started...

By this time I think CIC-NDVO might have done background check and financial check?

Please advice.

Thanks a lot. For the minimum, I checked with the Sydney Visa Office (Australia). This is what they replied "You may enter Canada with less than 6 months validity on your passport. However you must exit Canada before your passport expires".
I think it would be better for me to get a new passport and then send it for the visa.
