Hi Forumites,

Today I have received a Medical request (For me and my wife) from CIC-NDVO office, without 2nd line i.e processing started...

By this time I think CIC-NDVO might have done background check and financial check?

Please advice.

Admin, please update the file.

Thanks,
Krutick13.

Congrats on the Progress. They take a while to update ECAS, so don't really worry about that.

Don't delay getting the medicals done and I think they have done their background check already. Smooth sailing for you now.

For all the members looking to make Alberta their new home, here is some good information from the Government of Alberta about the labour force.
Almost 20% of Alberta's labour force is made up of immigrants, so WE are all welcome... :D

Hi ,

I have two below queries which I anticipate someone can clarify.

I have applied student visa 2 yrs. back which got rejected but I remember I did misrepresentation unknowingly which I came to know just now.
Does it affect my FSW application this year since it has already crossed 2 yrs. from the date I submitted my student visa application? I read somewhere that one is ineligible to apply till 2 yrs. in case of misrepresentation.

My FSW package dispatched on 25th of June 2014 with the generic form' July 2014' written on the foot note. However, I noticed later on that they have corrected the date on the form. Can you answer when did they change the date of foot note?

Do I need to feel safe on these circumstances?

CAD $ 18097/- for 3 persons

Form: Cash / Bank draft / Traveller's cheque

Pls see this link

Is is mandatory to bring exact amount as of 'proof of fund'? I think the proof of fund has to be shown only in the application phase and the selected candidate for PR are allowed to bring as much as one can and nowhere it is written that the proof of fund must be exactly brought to Canada. However, we must be bring that amount of money which may cover our all living expenses for at least 3 months. Correct me if i'm wrong??

yes my friend you are wrong on this thing....funds mentioned on CIC are minimum amount...its compulsory to bring at least that much amount to Canada in form of draft or cash in candian dollars...there is no upper limit
