Advise Required:


I have created an account on WES on 2 weeks ...Paid the amount. But I have entered wrong last name on WES and so my online acc shows wrong name.

I have contacted with WES. But they are not responding....


Please advise....Will WES send me wrong Named report...Or they will issue my name according to the academic Certificate name...Even with the wrong acc name?

I believe that they will rely more on the academic records than your WES account details. My case was also a bit confusing, i completed my B.E. in 2005, but applied for a degree in 2008 while i was doing my first job, so though my marksheets and transcript showed that my B.E. was completed in 2005, my degree showed 2008. I was worried that WES will show my record as 2008 as per my degree, and my work experience prior to 2008 wont be valid. But WES report mentioned 2005 as per my original B.E. completion date according to the transcript, though i entered 2008 was the year my degree was awarded, in my WES account details, Though I did not attach any letter mentioning such a confusion. I feel that it wont create a problem and your report will be based on your academic record. Though i cannot be sure as i have not come across such a case...

Its better to create a new account..otherwise take the risk and send the transcripts along with a letter explaining your mistake...and wait for your WES report, if you are lucky you will get correct name report..i too mentioned wrong year of passing in online acc and then sent the certificates along with letter..they did it for me...

Will do accordingly but envelope need to be sent by controller (although I can send it) ...But wont it be a confusing that i am sending extra cover letter to them beside of the authority of my univ?

Hello ,

I have 2 years of work experience in IT helpdesk\desktop support . Am i eligible to qualify in 2171 noc as will i be able to get jobs in this field in 2171? I am a Btech in computer science . plus ILETS score is :-

L - 8
R - 7.5
S - 7.5
W - 7.5

CGPA-6.3

age - 24

My main concern is whether my work experience will be considered or not under 2171 category and will i be able to get a job in canada in my field?
And how much does it take to receive PR if i start my application from today?

you have to fulfill at least 60-70% of the job duties of 2171 in order to be eligible for fsw.
check with CIC's requirements on their website

Dear seniors

I am have gathered all the Transcript and Mark sheets and about to pay the fees to WES.

I have one doubt..

Degrees I hold are Bachelor of Pharmacy & Master of Pharmacy. I have also PG diploma in management.
I am working in Marketing and promotional department of a Pharma company. (NOT AS A PHARMACIST, BUT AS PRODUCT EXECUTIVE)

Whats WES says is...

Note to Physicians and Pharmacists:
If you are applying as a specialist physician (NOC 3111) or general practitioner/family physician (NOC 3112), the Medical Council of Canada must do your educational credential assessment, as a pharmacist (NOC 3131), the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada must do your educational credential assessment. Detailed information can be found by visiting the CIC website.

I am a pharmacy graduate but I am applying under 1123 NOC, and I am never going to work as pharmacist in Canada.
What should I do? Should I assess my Degrees through WES or through Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada?

In case you are not aware then I would like to inform you that we have a fb group. It is mainly created for the purpose of Networking. You can be a member of our fb group if you wish.

I have a few quick questions and would appreciate if someone could respond.
First, I am currently residing in Jeddah. For Step 2 I will be required to submit my passport in Riyadh. Does anyone have experience if I can send passports by courier or do I have to go in person? Also when the visas are stamped, will they send by courier or again I have to collect in person?
Second, my son has both Pakistani and American passports. We used American passport for Canadian application but used his Pakistani passport to come to Saudi Arabia. If anybody has any experience or advice as to which passport we should send for getting his Canadian immigration visa stamped? Or should we send both?

Hi Everyone,

I have finally received my stamped passport
It was delivered on the 2nd June, but I missed the delivery and collected a few days back from the office of Indian Post.

What a relief to be on this stage of application.

I thank each member of this forum - Life became easier after I found this place.

I have a question - When does the 5 year period for maintaining the PR Start? The day we land first time or the day our visa starts? Any input is highly appreciated.
