Hello

Many congratulations to you. Finally the day has come :)

Were you home to collect the passport yourself, or did someone else collect on your behalf? Got any call from the deliveryman?

Thank you!

I was not at home.. But I had conveyed my neighbours to collect if there were any mails/delivery and they had done the same.. It was from registered post from Post-India as mentioned before but not sure how the delivery man was convinced to hand it over to the neighbour! Anyways, its all fine now!

- cheers!

Thank you FSW13, xXCiscoGuyXx , rallabandi :)

The passports were delivered through standard Indian Registered Post.

Thanks

Respected Members,

I want to apply as an Electrical Engineer (2133). I have total two yr exp on 2133. But First yr work exp is during my Undergrad's last year (worked on night shift).

Will that be problem a for total work exp calculation working as an engineer without completion of that degree?.

I need the point for 2 yrs. Is there any body who have shown work exp during their undergrad?

Glad to hear that. Congrats to you. Seems like you got it in just over a year.

At least there is hope for me who is just starting this process, that is, assuming I am blessed with PER ???. Right now, I am patiently impatiently waiting, lol.

Btw, can you or admins update this information in the FSW13 tracking spreadsheet? It would be good to see some more successes especially from the local VO.

Another piece of info for guys preparing to land; please get some photographs from back home (needed for PR card - two, as per the specifications - 35x45mm). We got it clicked here and it is $16 for two small photographs, so paid like $48 for 3 of us !!

I just got a letter in the mail from CPP-O saying that my file has been transferred to NY office for further review of my eligibility and admissibility for PR.The office in NY will contact me via email.
What does this mean?Does it mean there will be an interview?

Dreamsite,

I don't have personal experience with a case like yours, but from what I understand, the experience simply has to be full-time paid work. It doesn't require a degree. In fact, the degree could be in a completely unrelated topic and the work experience would still be valid, as per other examples here.

To recap: you get points for your education based on degree completion, and you get points for work experience based on number of verifiable paid, full time years towards the NOC you have applied to (the education does not have to relate to the NOC).

ATB,

Gru

I don't think this necessarily means there will be an interview. Glad to hear your case is moving along :)
