Hi
I just need an opinion for the generic form. Will be sibmitting my application tomorrow. Please help.

In areas such as the UCI, 2nd citizenship and fax number, i dont havr any answe to that.what shakl i do?

1.Will i just leave it blank ? Because it says it the application guide 700 that if u have a uci then enter it otherwise leave it blank.

2. Shall i write N/A after i print the form? Because it was said in the video from cic that we should not leave anything blank.

Their instructions are kind of contradicting.

Please help.

Thanks a lot in advance

Boss, For birth cert, I kept affidavit from parents. 10th marksheet which have only DOB, no parents name.. I didn't keep Transfer certificate. I kept Driving license in which father name available. In all mark sheet only initial available. Pls give ur feedback.
Sorry I am not sure besides marksheets/school certificates. what other documents CIC accepts as alternative to birthcertificate.

Many congratulations to all fellow forumities for getting the stamping. Good luck to all of them

I have a query. While passing through London (+from India to Toronto), do we need a transit visa with a valid immigrant visa to Canada???

Waiting to book my tickets ASAP.

Please clarify

Dear members,
Question regarding settlement Funds

My brother is applying for FSW'14. He is working in Canada on work permit but its not a permanent job so cant be considered as arranged employment. I want to ask whether he still need to show settlement funds although he is getting salary from canada and settled in a rented apartment.

at CIC website it is mentioned that;
You do not have to show that you have these funds if:
you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.

Looking forward for someone's idea/suggestion.

Thanks

Not required as you flying to Canada...........

Check if you need a UK visa
Start again
1What passport do you have?
India
Change this answer
2What are you coming to the UK to do?
Transit (on your way to somewhere else)
Change this answer
3Will you pass through UK Border Control?
No
Change this answer
You'll need a visa to pass through the UK in transit (unless you're exempt)
You should apply for a Direct Airside Transit visa if you arrive in the UK on a flight and leave again without passing through immigration control.

Exemptions
You won't need a visa if you:

are travelling to Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country
are travelling from Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and it's less than 6 months since you last entered that country with a valid entry visa
have a valid US permanent residence card issued on or after 21 April 1998 (or an I-797 extension letter issued by the Bureau of Citizenship if it's expired)
have a valid Canadian permanent resident card issued on or after 28 June 2002
have a valid uniform format category D visa for entry to a state in the European Economic Area (EEA)
have a valid uniform format residence permit issued by an EEA state

As i am applying under NOC category. Do i need to erase "Offer of Arranged Employment category or PhD category". Or shall i leave it as it is.

Yes, erase those bits (and the comma in front) and leave only "NOC Category". In the following line, replace "XXXX" with the actual NOC code you're applying under. I've highlighted both in red above.

Best wishes!

Hi Seniors,

In one of the forms it is asked:
"Starting with your current occupation, list your occupations within the last 10 years preceding the date of your application. For each occupation, identify the dates of employment, your occupation, the appropriate four-digit 2011 NOC code, the number of years of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time experience, and a description of main duties."

I am working as software engineer - NOC code 2173 for around 5 years but worked with 3 different companies.

So do i mention my experience in 1 row since my NOC & occupation is same(though different job titles) or 3 different rows as i have worked in 3 different companies with different job titles(though same occupation)?

Please help.

Hi. For greater clarity, I'd advise listing this on three different rows of the form, with the job titles as per your different jobs, the NOC code and the summary of duties for each job. This will help CIC better match up what you are claiming in this form with the evidence you provide in the form of employers' reference letters.

I've highlighted in blue above a key statement that justifies why I advise listing them on three different rows.

Best wishes,

Gru

the reason they want the UCI number field to be blank is because as soon as they receive our package they put the UCI number in pen. when i received my file back the first time, they have written in pen my UCI number.

thanks
