In the rejection letter it is clearly stated that they turned us down because we do not have the amount of CAD 14.720 on the account, which I saw today as a new POF rule for the new system.

Also, I have to say, when the email for updated proof of funds arrived, I went to
Cic website to check the amount. And it was 13.837 CAD for two

I feel your pain. I guess the only option now is to prepare a logical protest letter and with supporting documentation.

1. According to you, you got the request for updated document including POF sometimes in March
2. The POF is normally updated every year and as you rightly stated, it was done sometimes in April according to you after you had sent your document.
3. Was your document dispatched via a courier (UPS/DHL etc)?, do you have proof of the delivery date at Vienna VO as been earlier than date that CIC announced the higher POF?
4. Do you have POF equal or more than the current amount on the CIC website?

In that case, get a new 6-month bank statement that shows the current POF, write a letter showing that you were compliant with the POF at the time of submission and add all the document to support the claim including the courier delivery document and request for a reconsideration.

I have a flat worth $70,000 and liability of $32000. In addition I have liquid cash worth $25500(FD + saving accounts).

Am i good to apply for Canadian PR as per asset, liability and liquid cash I have?

The amount required is dependent on the number of people in your application.

Not an issue as far as I know. The value of the house exceeds your liability (am assuming this is the balance of your house mortgage to be paid off)

The POF is your liquid / transferable asset

As per spreadsheet whoever applied/application received after Jan 2014, Until April 30, 2014, the CC/DD cleared within 20 days on an average.
It has been 1 month already, May I know, When can I expect the DD to be charged/Encashed?

Clear mistake on their part. Prepare the detailed email and send. If the rejection letter has a person to address it to....then use that name as well as a general email. Be detailed, respectful and polite in your email to them.

I got PER today.
My application was received on April 30.
My cc was charged 14 May.

I can't check my application status yet through cic web site.

When can i check my ECAS with the file # that i received in per?

I don't know but I feel my file is moving extra slow. More than 6 months since i received acknowledgement of file, still no sign of job verification or Medicals. Wait is killing !!! :'( :-X

6-9 months is the period most people see some movement with their cases on average.
