Hello All,

I am new to this FSW thing and just started to prepare for IELTS and the exam is on 21st June. So, I can expect the result on July 5th or so. I am yet to file my WES and will be doing next week. Can anyone tell me if it will be too late to apply for FSW by July second week?

I am planning to apply under NOC 2171. Please help me with this.

Dear seniors,

I applied in fsw2014 but my mistakes were;
1. I did not mentioned the catagory number (ie catagory 1) in the envelope.
2. I did not included my self addressing adressess in a seperate paper inside the app; only wrote the address in both language ( eng and native ) on the envelope only.
3. My photos were not as accurate as described in the guide (chin to head length was a lil bigger) which i noticed only after sending my package.

M worried about my package, R these major or minor problems. Is my package likely to be returned without further processing or is there any chances CIC might ignore those mistakes.

Please any one I need your views and thoughts.

Hi Asmita,

The medicals are not just for the primary applicant but for all applicants. If you look at the 2013 spreadsheet there is a tab/workbook that contains a link there to the medical manual that will give you a better idea of what to expect for medicals.

regards,
Islandbabe

Thanks a ton Islandbabe. God bless :)

CONGRATS.

Hi

Is there anyone here who got past PER stage who just sent in photocopies only of documents where only copies were required without it being notarized and still got through?

Hi All,

After a long time , third line was added this week "Medical request has been received".

Please update it in the spread sheet. All seniors thanks for your support. Thanks God!

Regards,
Rajan

Hi, I have got a question about the work reference letter.
I am applying as a spouse. Is it mandatory for me to send my work reference letter. Actually i am not very confident of sending it because our director is not very helpful and i am not on good terms with him as i left the job this month. I am worried that if CIC officer calls him for confirmation he might not entertain him and he could spoil our case.
Will it be okay if I fill my work info in the form but do not send the reference letter? I am also not getting any points for it as i am the spouse. I worked at this place for about eight months.
Seniors plz share your thoughts

Dear

As you are not a primary applicant, so need not to put any reference letter for you from your employer. It is compulsory for primary applicant only

One can only speculate, but given that the process is expected to be even faster this time around, by then CIC may already have published at least one cap update. I'd just tell you to push ahead and expeditiously gather everything, then submit as soon as possible unless the cap is known to be filled by mid July (which may be unlikely).

God bless,

Gru

Hi Seniors,

I have decided to send the application by this weekend, can anyone tell how CIO will communicate with me if any additional information is required and how much time do they take to respond +ve/-ve.

Please confirm.

If you have provided an email address, that's how they will communicate with you. It's hard to tell when you'll first hear from them, but it seems it may take anywhere between one and two months at the current pace (probably closest to the shorter end of the scale). Nothing is certain, though. Simply go ahead and carefully analyze your file and submit as soon as reasonably possible :)
