Dear Mr. digitalsphere,

I dont have any intention to misguide anyone... You are new in this forum... If you were live in the forum before then you understand how much I contributed here....

What I mean is that points are awarded based on the total years of work experience.... CIC requirement is we should work atleast 1 year in the skilled occupation.... Where it is saying they wont award point if suppose we work 2 years in SO and 4 years in other occupation ? Please share that link.....

Yes Rakesh ji

+100 for your comments.

I knew as experience points were counted for all years of work, whatever we've done, not only the job from occupation list. But the truth is they count only the job, you've done within that occupation list. I realized this when I got the GCMS notes. If I hadn't taken any points from my Canadian brother, I wouldn't have been eligible to be accepted to the program. I didn't know this. Actually, I knew this but as I read other member's comments on this last year, I was expecting to get full points from my work experience. But it didn't come true.

Thanks Slowokan for helping me to share the CORRECT information on the forum.

Thanks slowikan- so u got points only for work ex under ur noc 2132 right? And not for ur exp in other nocs?

Yes Faizzz, that's correct. But I'll check for the other guys just to be sure. This is a very important thing for the people, who haven't applied yet. Just wait for few minutes.

Gentlemen, suggest we wait for some one who has gcms notes to respond. If what digital is saying is untrue many would unnecessarily miss an opportunity to apply thinking they don't have eligible points.so better we get the absolute facts.

Yeah, you are right faiz... Let those applied for GCMS note to come and clarify our doubt in this... That the better way to understand how CIC allocate points for Work Ex.....

Hi all

Can you please update my status to medical request received on 17th April 2014.
Many thanks

NOC 3215

Congrats aussiejuls ... ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yes, that's right. I got only points from the NOC code from the list, Mechanical Engineer. I've just double checked my GCMS notes.

I've been working on tanker vessels for the last 5 years. But they counted only my mechanical engineering experience between 2003 - 2007, some of it was part time. So they counted 2 years as experience and they gave 11 points for the work experience. Otherwise, I should have got almost full points from work experience. I have almost 10 years of work experience. They gave only 2 years. That's only for my first job, which was exact mechanical engineering. They didn't count my engineering onboard tanker vessels.

ADMIN

I have seen some members on forum 2013fsw2014, Omarsoman, Aimer Le Canada, preity "got verification" before "started processing date"

It means verification is possible after receipt of AOR & before started processing date??

Please anybody advise, if it possible to send application dated 28 April, 2014, which will be received on 5 May, 2014. Or applications should be dated not early of May 1, 2014.
Please advise, who send applications in 2013 dated before 4 May, 2014 and application was processed successfully.

I suggest you to wait till May 1st and see whether they updated any forms in the CIC website...

Last year so many applications were rejected due to the use of old schedule form....So it is safe to send your application after May 1st....

All the Best

Dear it is also possible after started processing date or after receiving MR or after MR results received. it is not predictable.

Thanks

Hope you stand corrected now.

The requirements listed on the CIC website are very precise. There is no chance of misinterpretation. However to err is human.

I insist and advise that you read carefully in context of only what is specified. Please do not let your imaginations run wild.

In the interest of all friends in this forum: Please be advised that one can earn points only for relevant work experience and NOT total work experience.

Dear Aimer Le Canada

Thanks for your reply. Your verification really happened before started processing date?
